If you look at the price of a NEX-5 with a 16mm in relation to the price of a Z-15 you get a factor of about 4 ($3500 / $850),meaning a Hero2 version would cost about $1200.

So let's hope they don't use that math, seems a wee bit much for what is essential a toy camera.

Their math is different, They use the same motor on pan and little bit smaller motors for roll and pitch, electronics (i think there is no reason to make another) will share from big brother so I guess the price will be not much cheaper then Z-15, 2500-2800 is my bet

pretty smart way to determine what could be price range - post teaser like this and watch what potential customers are expecting to pay for it) or not to pay))

DJI = $1040
NAZA = $200

Therefore,

Zenmuse15 = $3080
GoproZen = $592

Who says that the GoPro Zen is for Hobby Users?
Personally I don't think that a Hobby Pilot needs the Zenmuse...

What is "DJI"?
Or do you mean DJI WK-M and DJI Naza-M?

The Gopro-Zenmuse will work with the Naza FC (and probably *only* with the Naza, not with the Wookong), so it will be for the hobby pilot/market. That's where the money is made, with high volumes. Not with the few AP guys and the pro line.
The Phantom is even more consequent a step into that direction.

One of their reps mentioned it somewhere a couple of months ago.

I don't think the price will be more than $1k. They know they won't sell a lot otherwise. And I guess it will be even *significantly* lower than that.
