GWS UM-1 crystal lead is custom made 0.4mm

GWS UM-1 crystal lead is custom made 0.4mm ( 0.01575")

Pls make sure you got a right crystal! on your GWS R6N and R4P!!

GWS original UM-1 crystal lead is custom made 0.4mm ( 0.01575") at 10PPM Spec. Device was made in Japan by same reliable vendor of "F" Brand crystals.

Pls do not use cheap commercial grade crystal, it may cause crystal contact lost! Or too many frequency drift out of spec!

GWS UM-1 crystal inside has customized with stronger holder to protect crystal damaged by shock of crash.

Do not use a wrong spec cheap substitude UM-1 crystal which come with 0.012" lead! That may cause improperly contact and lost control!

Just bought a batch of new crystals in order to switch to a less-used frequency. The vendor specified what looked like a GWS part number for them. I was concerned when I received them, as they all had a plastic frequency tab covering the writing on the crystals, so I couldn't see if they said GWS on them, like the old ones.

Got out the ol' micrometer, and sure enough the leads measured .016-.017" (cheap micrometer, probably not too accurate). I remember buying one generic, and the old one that didn't say GWS had leads that measured .013" (same cheap micrometer). It was working, but I'm glad it's out of my airplane.

Only question - the GWS ones that I removed had a thin plastic spacer under the crystal housing, and the new ones do not. Mr. Lin, do you think I received genuine GWS crystals ?

Thanks - Larry

All the GWS crystals I have came on a cardboard card with a plastic bubble cover.

Pls do not use bad quality cheap crystal!

During WRAM show, I spoke with more than hundreds peoples who came to GWS stand to say thanks.

But A GWS with a cheap subsitute X'tal will cause range shorten and weak anti-vibration!

Pls, besure to buy a GWS original crystal.
