Independent, bi partisan fact check org says Romney's ad is "pants on fire"

http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/26/politi...html?hpt=hp_t1

But Romney isn't going to let fact checkers run his campaign. Brilliant.

Question for the LTUP righties. Do you believe O removed the work requirement from the fed. assistance program, as Romney's ad states? Just wondering how effective these BS ads really are.

"Mitt Romney defended his campaign's television ads Tuesday, saying they've been "absolutely spot on," including ads deemed false by independent fact checkers.

"Anytime there's been anything that's amiss we correct it or remove it," Romney told CNN.

Ads from Romney's campaign have hammered President Barack Obama for supposedly "gutting welfare" by removing the work requirement from the federal assistance program.

An independent and non-partisan fact-checking organization, PolitiFact, rated the ad's claim as "Pants on Fire." CNN also rated the ad 'false." And the Obama campaign, the White House and former President Bill Clinton, who signed the original legislation into law, all attacked the Romney spot, saying the claims were false and misleading.

On Tuesday, Romney said those analyses were flawed.

Nice plagiarism. At least give the CNN credit.

The article is in Quotes. Did you miss that? Do you think i was trying to make it come off that i wrote the whole thing? Do you think i'm as desperate as the entire Romney campaign?

I've got absolutely NO problem showing where it came from.

If the Feds do not require work as they now do not, then yes, they dropped the work requirement. It's now an option.

A certain Libertarian member has received a lot of points for posting as you just did. Look at the rules under "Copyright Infringement", or something of that nature.

Still it was unattributed. And "Romney told CNN" could have been from some other source.

And n00b-E is correct, you are allowed to post an excerpt, but posting a substantial part of a copyrighted article, is not covered under the Fair Use of Copyrighted Material principle.

Correct. Trying to dodge the issue by claiming its really the States obviously satisfies leftists who have a perpetual and apparently insoluble difficulty with the nature of responsibilty. When Obama sidesteps congress knowing he is creating the power to waive work rules, he is the one responsible for making that move.

you can spin it all you want. Fact is an independent, bi partisan fact checker, who is much more reliable and non biased than you, showed that the ad is totally false.
And now Romney is finding himself questioned over it and having to explain his position, yet again.

He should FIRE his entire campaign management team now and "reboot".

Your own plagiarized article says that the Feds removed the requirement.

PS your OP link is bad.

Then Romney's ad should have stated that instead of saying he removed the work requirement cart blanche, which is entirely incorrect.

Sure, Dems would love that, as it would guarantee Obama's re-election.
