Wow, thanks for finding out it's 9x (FlySky) compatible.
As I don't need an RTF I've just ordered a rx board to check if it's better than the v939 boards.

Do you also have to rebind after ech battery change like on the v939 ?

JJ H36 receiver board is also available in Banggood:

so why don't we start to build our own quad?

I was talking to a friend lastnight about the V929 boad I fitted in a S026 tandem coax n we got talking about the X4, he gave me this link http://www.wonderlandmodels.com/prod...er-crash-pack/
Where I can buy everything but the board and motors for 5.99, I can see myself buying the board from this thread, that crash pack and whack in 4 motors from my spares box, happy days.

It has a different name but is 100% the same product.
I have compared both the body and the mainboard.. down to the serial number... 1:1 match.

Why do i bother ?
IT BINDS TO MY TURNIGY 9X TX
Does it need rebind every time as 939?
Thx

Normally this fact will be very challenging if it were a heli... but since it's a quad it does not matter. Just turn the quad 180 degrees and fly it normally :0)
So the front is the backend and the backend is the front.

Better turn the rx 180 deg if you have front and back lights.

Totally agree... I think this is what we are witnessing!

But they are still very cool! For now...

More info

1) The battery tends to get a little hot when you are done.. maybe consider a replacement with higher C values. The battery i got states 300 mAh 15C just like banggood.com...

HK has one: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._Mini_CP_.html

2) Once the battery is depleted the quad simply shuts down. No warning... no performance degradation.. nothing.. you are happely flying and suddenly the quad is dead 2-3 meters above the ground :0(

I use the timer function in ER9X and set it to 6 min and 30 sec... normally the battery is dead around the 7 min. marker.

3) There is no cool down period between flips contrary the 4 sec wait period in the v929. So you can perform consecutive flips in all directions. The quad looses altitude when performing flips (just like all the others) so make sure to give enough space if you want to perform multiple flips.
Tip: Give full throttle just before performing a flip and the hight lost will be minimal (30-50 cm only).

4) there are some vibration once you take of, but when you reach 15-20 cm from the ground the quad is rock solid... with a little trimming this thing is STABLE.

5) Direction change is a little slow compared to the v929... so make sure to plan ahead...
Also if you give too aggressive cyclic movements the quad tends to lose altitude just like the v929... compensate with a little throttle increase :0)
