Thanks a lot Vince, detailed pictures that come at the right time to help me,particularly a picture showing the planking of the upper right side of the stabilizer..The others are helpful too and in addition with the many pictures provided by the owner Firmin.Henrard if you're interested, tell me.
The others photopacks are great too

Marc,

The silence has been deafening, but I for one am watching closely! Looking forward to this one and all wood builds! And glass (thanks Mike). And foam (thanks Nodd)

Elegant sailplane and beautiful build. Marc, how do you attach the plywood skins to the framework?

TIA,

Steve

The panels are made with 0,4mm plywood and glued with white glue to the ribs. All the edges of panels are bevelled to increase the glueing surface. Same process for the fuse and wings (0,6mm plywood)

Thanks Marc. Do you bevel the edges so that one panel lies on top of the next one?

Also, do you let the white glue dry and then use a hot iron to attach the panel or simply glue it in place?

yes, that's it Steve, and I also sometimes use the hot iron to speed up the glueing, to help the wrapping of leading edges for instance , so the glueing is quickly made and the junction between the panel and the leading edge is better , no need using many pins that let numerous littles holes on plywood. is that clear?

I have been watching, too! I love these wooden wonders! I was afraid to post without offering anything of value since on another thread I was accused of 'wasting space' by an @$$-wipe when I was only enthusiastic of his build.
