Club: RCMCC California
RCMCC
Radio Control Motorcycle Club of California This is the thread where anyone interested in our meetings will be (officially bi-weekly) can get the information on "WHERE and WHEN." We do not meet at any "one" location yet. We gather together at different predesignated locations around the Bay Area here in California. Mainly because our members are dotted on the map a little ways apart from each other. We have guys from San Francisco to Sacramento and even spread to the Monterey area. A number are from the San Jose Area. With respect to this fact we choose to meet at spots that may be closer to a certain member as to appreciate his excitement for the RC Bike FUN and skill. That being said. Feel free to Inquire anything you like here and "POST" something so that when locations/times are made YOU will get an email to this thread. Comments and interest welcome from EVERYWHERE!!! Kevin RCMCC Radio Control Motorcycle Club of California |

So the rain came down as expected this weekend. . .
Meeting in Union City (not Fremont, Kev) is canceled for the long weekend of Nov. 30th. We're hoping to get everyone here next Sunday when it's bright and Sunny. We'll have the usual Kyoshos and 1/5ths showing up. Hopefully we'll have more on-board cameras to mount and more bikes in the chase. Location next time is TBA. As I said before, the aphalt here in Union City is flat, brand new, and free from poles, gutters and rocks. However, Steve down South said we could have a BBQ at his place and maybe run there. Should be fun either way! -Ian |

Thanks Kev for posting this. This will help bring everyone together.
I have a nice area to run the bikes down here in Soledad. It is new asphalt on an unopened stretch of 4 lane road in a new housing development. Bring some hot dogs and burgers and I will bring the rest of the bbq. If this seems like fun give me a ring. Steve |

To all Bay Area riders,
It's raining right now and from the 7-day forecast it's probably going to rain this Saturday and Sunday. So if we want to run this weekend it will have to be considerably far away from the Bay. However, we can always wait it out. Weather.com says that there's a 20% chance of rain on Sunday (12/7). Good luck to us all! -Ian |

Thanks Ian.
Targeting a "rain day" is kind of hard duing the "rainy season" here in CA. I can't wait untill we all meet with the 1/5 scales. |

Hey Kev,
Surely there's an old under cover carpark around somewhere there in the bayarea, one with good grippy concrete for the bikes?!... We know of one here if the heavens open up,... like it's doing here now too!... Some carparks have some interesting obsticals/track layout... I'm happy to say that we're starting a race meet here too for the bikes, sofar there's 3 of us which is the min requierment to hold a race at the track, but there's more 1/5th riders still to come...! Good luck with your weekend of racing guys.... |

Not a whole lot of covered "carparks" around here. Seems parking space is valuable. (San Jose that is) I'm sure somewhere in San Fran we may be able to find something....we would have to look.

I'm not sure about it steve...but Ken said that there are a number of guys that meet "somewhere" where there are a few levels of parking in a parking garage.....
I thought it sounded good...but I never was able to see anyone run there....so I do know there is somewhere in San Fran where there is that kind of parking..... I do know there is parking "levels" near Pier 39. I have parked there once.
