Hi Adrian how you doing, the dog is still going. running only on 4s I'm too scared to go to more cells it's plenty fast as it is after seeing yours on 5s
I might have to pick your brains again for a decent power setup for this plane
I still have the Scorpion 3026-1900Kv I brought from you on my trip Down under might go good on 4s

Hey guys. I have read through the thread nothing i have tried has worked.
I CAN NOT GET THIS THING TO NOT DIVE LEFT!
I have added 1 oz of lead to the back. Its cg is great.
I have added some right aileron and still diving left..
I have launched at 1/4 and also half throttle.
Launching holding the top of the plane and throwing at 40-45
Should i add a weight to the right wing?
Any help guys.
Thanks Trey.

Have you checked the thrust angle of the prop/motor?

Check that the wings are not warped.

Check that the main wing is in line with the stab

Check to see that the ailerons are not warped.

Check to see that the elevator is even and not warped

Check your motor thrust line. It should be pointing slightly to the right.

Have you been able to fly at all, or are you still just trying to launch?

Breeze indeed My Rifle, running a HET 1W-30 on 3S, 73.4A, 781.7W launches easy. Just give it a good hard thow about 10 - 15 degrees, i launch at half throttle. Scrubbing off all the speed for the landing is the hardest thing. Get plenty of spare props . Good luck with the rifle.

Ok, I got myself a Moray, thanks to Adrian for pointing it out and and taking advantage of the free shipping.

I've left mine reasonably stock, only changing out the ESC. I'm going to use some 2250mAh 65C 4S Nano-Tech lipo's, little on the big side, but the smallest I have on hand. They fit in easy enough and balanced with the battery hard up against the tray.

Description:

Static figures 31.8A, 478.7W with the stock 7 x 6 prop.

Hoping to give it a maiden today, I will keep you all posted. If I get a second flight, I willl try a 7.4 x 7.7 pylon prop, I think the stock motor should handle that ok.

What is slight right? Are you saying the nose points to the right when you are looking at it with nose pointing at your face?

If so then your thrust angle is whack!

The motor should point slightly to the left as you look at it with the nose pointing to your face. It should be pointing to the right if you are sitting in the cockpit looking forward.

Should be the other way. I don't have the model so I can not tell you how far right. But should be a few degrees right thrust...

Come to think of it, this being a ready to fly model, the right thrust should be built into the fuse as well as the motor mount so that the back of the spinner plate lines up with the front of the firewall so that there is a small, but even gap all the way around between the spinner plate and front of fuse. Is this gap consistent on yours?

If it is consistent, then is your fuse crooked?

For those of you who have the dogfighter and have this plane, which one would you say is better in terms of quality?

Which works best, 1/4 or half throttle? I know neither WORKS, but which is best? If 1/4 works better that would support the thrust angle theory.

Can you hand launch with NO POWER at all? Just throw it as hard as you can with nose level or just slightly pointing down. See if you can get a decent and straight glide out of it. If so, this supports thrust angle issue....
