NEed Help Choosing In Pod Aileron Servos

Currently putting together a Predator 2 DLG. I had 802's on order ready to go in, then realized they dont fit in the pod!!

Anyways I know for a fact Ion D57's would work great in both size and weight and I would like to give them a second chance. They are currently out of stock with SkipMillerModels So I am looking for a replacement in similar size, weight and quality. I would settle for higher quality and price as long as size is the same!

Thanks fellas!

MKS DS65K

These should fit anywhere. Very small and very strong.

Soaringusa.com has them. I've made a couple orders and had them on my doorstep within 3 business days every time.

Those are the servo's I'd put in mine, if I could afford them. They'd likely out-live any dlg I put them in. Oleg likes the ones he's got, and he runs them on 1S lipo.

I've seen the MKS DS65Ks and they are incredible. Lightweight, small, no slop, ridiculous torque, excellent centering and resolution, and all with an aluminum case! Just don't expect to have money for anything else afterward! If I had the $$ then these would probably be my #1 choice for everything. As it is, I used JR ds285s in my P2 and they fit great. I didn't lay them perfectly flat. I raised the top of them up so they sat on a slant, thus keeping the control rod for the servo in front from hitting the servo behind it.

Well now I'm lost... What do they take into consideration when the measure servos?

I bought the 802's because they have similar dimensions, but they are HUGE! Much taller than D47's or ion 57's yet measurements are within a mm of the 57. The actual rectangular case didn't seem big, just the amount of step and how high the arms sit. This is where the Ion and D47's were so much smaller....

So now I guess my question is how do the measure? Do these companies just omit everything on top?

If I could afford those tiny MKS' I would run those but we have had good results with the 5045's in the FireFly's.
