Scott, wow! Was this also filmed from your new xRotor IFrame?

The colors are looking really good too. I am going to update my Hero2 now.

Make sure you turn the protune on in the settings menu.

Yep, I did one flight with it off and another with it on. I wanted to compare the video between flights with similar lighting. Thanks!

Great footage - my wife is from Sedona so we go there every christmas. I am building up an FPV setup that I can't wait to take out to Boynton Canyon... figured it would be nice and safe out there away from the tourists

Nice video Scott....

Well I updated my quad this weekend.
Added a New UHF RX . I went with the EZUHF system.
It worked great today, I put it on my older Futaba 9C.

Also made a new foam box for my camera, helps me get a nice smooth video. It will absorb what little vibration I may get.
But with the new Graupner props it is very little..

Wow, that is looking really good! Way to go with the long range system there. I can't wait to see some of your new FPV videos.

That rig looks awesome. I like the foam box around the camera. Protection is good. I'm a bit scared about my camera equipment now, as I lost a brand new Sony and my brand new fpv cam in one sweet crash the other day. Oh well.
As for my IFrame quad, I missed the post man so no motors for me until Monday. I was hoping to get the new quad in the air. Everything else is set up and waiting.

Going shooting with the Spider tomorrow. More mtb jump footage, I hope.

Finally got mine together, with just enough time for a single test flight before dark. The quad is super smooth. I have a feeling that the shorter, stiffer arms will enhance the flight characteristics. I will report again with more flight time.
Some pics:

Yes, I know the camera mounting plate is on upside down. The camera will not be mounted without its protective case, so the strap holes will not be used.

Wow, great photos! I love the natural wood too. Did you use clear coat on that?

I was going to mention the strap holes, but... you beat me to it. Nice job. I love the Bob's Super Simple Shield on there as well. Is that the GY-86 10DOF sensor board on there? I can't wait for mine to come to give that a try.

It is indeed a GY-86, with a foam ear bud cover over the baro. No clear for me, there is no fuel to soak into the wood. I got my lost model beepers in today, I hope they work with ppm sum. They are kinda iffy on the bench whether the ppm signal will keep the beeper off. It works with just one channel signal, but I just hate the idea of running wires for each channel. That, and all my rx's are 4 channel or ppm sum.... Hopefully video tomorrow, but its a busy day for me.

Scott, your quad looks great...I really like the way the IFrame flys...

BTW what kv motors are you using?

I put 1100kv this time around. With the new 9x5 Graupners it does seem to handle the wind much better.
I will try to get some video Tues evening. FPV that is...

They are labeled 1350kv, although I think they might be a bit lower. 2826 from Leaderhobby. They fly fantastic on an 8x6 prop. I think the higher kv helps with prop speed changes in the wind.

Quick test vid. This frame is solid!
