Filippo Materazzi Design - Armonia
it's the first time for me in this forum. I hope my thread is in the right place.
I'm Filippo Materazzi and I live in Italy. After many years in designing model airplanes, this year I became a designer for Techone, a chinese company, world leader in foamies/indoor production. I started to design for them a model line with the goal to realize the most advanced planes and the highest quality kit. After a lot of work I can say I'm very satisfied and I would like to present my planes to you! I hope you like them too.
First of all the Armonia, expecially made for indoor F3P.
Here its description from the official website: www.fmdplanes.com
"The Armonia is an innovative and high quality F3P plane especially designed to be strong but very light. It is made with 3 mm depron milled (painted on both sides!) and HCF, a special technique that uses a transparent film glued on depron. In the kit it is included all the professional materials to complete the plane, like carbon rods (pre-cutted!), super light carbon control horns, thread, clips and velcro. Thanks to its special design it is able to fly extremely slow and precise, but it is able to perform pretty fast maneuvers too, like snaps and spins. It is made to be symmetric to obtain wonderful knife edges. The Armonia is the perfect plane for competitions but also for the beginners of indoor flight, thanks to its incredibly smooth and easy flying.".
And here the details:
FUSELAGE 95 cm / 37,4”
WINGSPAN 84 cm / 33”
MATERIALS 3 mm milled depron, HCF (depron and mylar), carbon
FLYING WEIGHT (without battery) about 80-90 g / 2,82-3,17 Oz
FLYING WEIGHT (with battery) About 90-110 g / 3,17-3,88 Oz
BOX CONTENT depron model parts, pre-cutted carbon rods (1,5 mm rods, 1,3 mm rods, 1 mm rods, 0,8 mm rods), pre-cutted carbon strips (0,3 mm strips, 0,5mm strip), 0,5 mm carbon control horns, micro clips, male/female velcro, wire

Now, that is a beautiful F3P plane! It seems to be somewhat smaller than what seems to be the trend now but in the same time the weight is pretty good. Should be competitive in good hands.
Have you got any info on availability dates and dealers? My fingers are itching to start a new build but I don't have the airframe parts yet.

Hi! About availability...both Armonia and Metis are ready but it depends on dealers... I mean when they will arrange the order to Techone.
In Europe Hacker motor will be a big distributor and it will be easy to find them in many european shops.
In USA too there are some companies interested to become dealers... I hope it will be possible!
Yesterday arrived to my home both planes and like expected the kit quality, especially the painting is really better than the prototypes... colors are really brilliant!!
I have just started to build a new Armonia with Kaukoranta counter rotating system...it should be fantastic!

Filo, please post some pictures of your build and if possible, weigh the foam parts. We F3P geeks love to compare different designs.
By the way, there's a rumor that our local distributor of Tech One kits in Finland may have stock soon.
