Man...and I was gonna start wearing my hat like that. I though all the dudes who were cool were doing it, but if Mark isn't..well I am out to!

And what the heck...I am gonna mount a low KV outrunner with a big prop on my wing, just so no-one gets scared. Hmmm...a 2s Demon....

Only a zagi flyer would feel good about that. I mean how many times do those guys crash due to lost orientation!

Probably not any more than with a conventional airframe.

OK, I'll admit it. I have a couple of Zagi and Zagi-like planes - an old S400 Zagi, a Zagi Fixx (which flies much better with an outrunner and LiPo than the stock GWS IPS drive), a Zagi Razor (the short wing Zagi), a mini-Speed Wing, a couple of "zagi" gliders, and probably a couple more hanging up in the rafters that I've forgotten about. Some I fly a couple of times a season, others haven't seen the light of day in years.

They are not difficult to fly - after 20+ years absence from the flying field, the Zagi was my third plane (after throwing around a small HLG for a couple of weeks and flying a resurrected DeBolt Champ a couple of times). I even used it on about the 10th flight to get signed off as a pilot at a club field (the instructor looked at it as said, "If you can fly that, you've got to be good to go." After the flight, I turned it over to him for a flight - he thought it was a pussy cat.)

As far as orientation, by the time it's far enough away that orientation is a problem, orientation on a conventional plane is a problem. And besides, if you crash it, most of the time you just pick it up, pop the battery back in and throw it back into the air - after all, it's just made out of packing material.

Some guys are artists, pure and simple. Tic is at the top of the list.

The only wing I own is a Stryker Q and it's my telemetry test-bed model.

I heard that guy won't stop till the whole world has been assimilated. He wants us all to wear our hats weird, fly wings, and drive Caddys...

You got lucky, I had to memorize the Slacker's creed!

This is my Ritewing. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

My Ritewing is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

My Ritewing, without me, is useless. Without my Ritewing, I am useless. I must fly my Ritewing true. I must fly faster than my fellow pilots. I must pass him before he passes me. I will...

My Ritewing and myself know that what counts is not the color of the covering, the noise of the prop, or the brand of radio. We know that it is the speed that counts. We will fly fast...

My Ritewing is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its prop and its motor. I will keep my Ritewing clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will...

Before my fellow Slackers, I swear this creed. My Ritewing and myself are the defenders of speed. We are the masters of our flying field. We are part of the Ritewing Nation!
