Laser cutter

Hi Y'all well I finally got my Laser cutting Engraving machine two weeks ago and now how to use it. It seems fairly easy to use as I already cut myself a few ribs for my P40 as a test. Works great. Now I'm testing with other materials.
I was exited so I tough of telling you guys as I am with other forums.

Yes of coarse, I'm working on the size of the plywood and or Balsa in one piece that I will be able to cut. From what I calculated it will be approximately 16" x 20".

I'm not sure what you mean? It's a laser cutting and engraving unit. I can cut for example a ribs and write the info of that rib on it, such as W3 for rib 3, If that is your question.

I assume you can work with CAD files. What would you need, DXF, DWG, other?

Also, do you know yet if you will charge by the inch or hour or ?

Thanks in advance
John

Hi Johnbyrne, DXF is the language my laser uses, so you can use Acad to do the drawing DWG then convert it to DXF, or you can draw directly in DXF. One is as easy as the other.

I'm in the process of drawing two aircraft, the P40E and The P51D in 1/4 scale. When the plans are ready They will be for sale as a kit or the plans only. However this is not for an other year or so.
