Looks like you are getting the hang of it A wide angle lens (for me anyway) makes it easier.. a standard lens to me is like trying to drive while looking through binoculars. Try it sometime haha.

Maybe wait for the new Hero3 that was just announced. I got a new Hero2 that I may be selling shortly if the Hero3 looks good once in the public hands.

Titus - glad to see you're enjoying your rig! You definitely put a lot of work into it

My parts are starting to trickle in and I was curious about how you set up a few things.

I was reading over on the MW forum about the issues with the CN-06 GPS module - namely configuring it to automatically boot up to 115,200 hz.

I see they fixed the issue in release 1129 of MW, but since I'm running Megapirate, I wasn't 100% sure if that change made it into this branch.

Does your copy of Megapirate automatically configure the refresh rate of the GPS on bootup? I think I saw 38,400 in the configs somewhere. Did you change that setting at all?

FYI - re: GPH3 - you're such an enabler

I gave up trying to piece together a Pixim Seawolf kit, and went with the RMRC starter kit. Start low and keep adding right? On your recommendation - I went ahead and picked up the 3DR to speed up PID tuning.

I'm at the point where I'm looking at a mess of Hirose DF13 picoblade housings, JST RCY plugs, RCA jacks, and 3 and 4 pin M/F header connectors. I'm tossing out all the cables and making my own.

Oh and one last thing - your components - are they set up this way?

Serial:
1: OSD
2: GPS
3: 3DR

Or are you using FTDI and I2C for anything?

Thanks and happy flying

Mocha

@ Mochaboy, thanks! since today was rainy and windy I spent a few hours doing a good once over getting ready for tomorrow, hopefully get some FPV in and test my new GPS unit.

for MPNG and the Crius CN-06 GPS units you only need to define UBLOX in the scketch before you compile it.

I don't have OSD yet, GPS serial 2 and 3DR serial 3 sounds about right.
