What are overall dimensions of the copter?
I mean, box of what size is needed to carry this beauty without disassembling?

Not quite sure the exact measurements as I don't have it in front of me atm, but I've seen this picture before and the case is a Pelican 1650 which seems to be about the perfect size. I don't have a case for mine yet though.

Got it fairly stable in stabilize mode, altitude hold works but needs some tuning. Going to try loiter mode tonight!

Nice build! You'll need to remove the props to get it in the box, but it's a nice fit. I may have to get one myself and cnc out the foam so it'll drop in. (tom@hoverthings)

Thanks! I really like the frame

Took it out to run a battery through it tonight and to test Loiter mode and it worked great! It was fairly calm outside with just enough wind to push it around some but it stayed there hovering in nearly one spot without any input from me. I walked up to it and grabbed an arm and dragged it about 5 feet away and let go and it went right back to where it was! No video though I'll try and get some next time.

I've got some tuning to do still, but it's getting better!

It's hard mounted with some plastic stand-offs. Seems to be working ok.

Titus,

Thanks for documenting your build - I'm about a month's work behind you and everything's on order.

Hopefully when I'm a little further along we can exchange notes on setup parameters.

Thanks again for all your hard work! (and good job on not frying the battery)

Mocha

Thanks, this has been a fun learning experience for me.

I've been having some troubles with my GPS unit, worked once but since unable to get a GPS lock. I've got a new one coming to me.

Also got a sonar and 3DR telemetry radio coming.

and the 915 mhz kit from here

I'm following this to attach the sonar
