Alright, during my first attempt to build a homemade Cedar H-Quad I realized I didn't have the patience or the skills to make it work, so I broke down and bought a HT-FPV frame! I hope this goes better than my first attempt.

I've been out of the R/C hobby for over 8 years and starting fresh with no gear, this is gonna be fun!

@ jpsabo, I have a Crius AIO Pro v1.0 with CR-06 GPS module loaded with MegaPirateNG 2.7 R4, took me a few days to figure that one out LOL

I'll be using the 9.4.7 gemfan props then move up to cabon later on.
I also will be using the naza FC with Gps ... Still waiting on one motor and esc from clubheli.com their out of stock until the 23rd or thr a bouts. Did solder three esc to the ht-fpv power board so pretty excited to get goin on it again soon as they re-stock those items.

The Tiger 2216s are a nice fit for that frame, I use them on various builds including one ht-fpv build. The 30a ESCs are probably overkill but no worries, 18a would be sufficient but only impact will be a touch more weight. I carry the Tiger motors in Canada and deal with Club Heli, good guys.

your the one who told me awhile back to get the tiger 2216 900 kv hehehe so i did, but then was un decited about the esc's so went with the 30a in case i jump up to 4s batteries. I have a long ways to go yet so i'll be asking a lot of question very soon ... hehe

The RCTiger 900 Kv's are very nice...I use them on a Hoverthings.com quad frame with GemFan 10x4.7 carbon-filled props. I built it light to use as a sport flyer. For the HT-FPV frame I went with Avroto's and 11x4.7 carbon-filled props as it's a bit on the heavy side.

Making some progress, I had to remove the center post for the Quattro to fit.

Got the Crius AIO mounted

I've been busy today, got everything except the FPV gear installed. All motors are spinning the correct direction, and my 3 position switch and my throttle hold switch are programmed for six flight modes (although I have them all set to the default stabilize mode). I just need to balance and install the props, install the GPS module, tidy up some wiring and start test flights!

4x 2212 motors (no idea what brand, they came with the ARF kit I bought)

The telemetry screen shows the telemetry hub's temperature, RSSI strength and voltage of cells on the quad from the FLVS module.

I've come up to a situation I'm a littler nervous about! I need to cut off the bullet connectors that came with the 3300 lipo and solder on the XT-60 connectors I'm using... I better lay off the coffee today!

Looking good so far. Safe way to deal with the lipo is to cut one at a time, solder it to the XT60 and heat shrink, then cut and do the other. Then you don't have exposed ends or try and cut both and once and ground it out. I always do mine that way as habit.

Just a quick question.. What will I need to get live info from the quad to the arducopter mission planner? stuff like live google maps positioning and stuff like that? I can't find much info on it.

specifically this... •Do all mission planning via a two-way wireless connection option. Waypoints, mode changing, even changing the gains of every control parameter can be done from your laptop, even while the copter is in the air!
