It's a good idea to use the satellite with all that carbon fiber. I don't use one on my 450 Pro, I use the AR600 instead. I stuck one antenna through the hole in the bottom of the frame and tied the other one to the landing gear. Seems to work fine that way.

If you imagine that the receiver forms a plane extending in all directions, the plane formed by each receiver should intersect each other at 90 degrees.

I think my friend has his receiver mounted under the main gear between the frame and the sat is stuck to the outside of the frame on the side.

Had to move my receiver off the little shelf and down to the bottom of the frame. The wires would not fit without the RX being shoved against the motor...or they were smashed into the back of hte tail servo mount.

I mounted the motor and started routing my wires here a a couple pictures.





Tomorrow night I will finish mounting the ESC ( I got Tarot alumin battery tray and canopy mount so that I can fit it under the nose between the frame )

SHould have it buttoned up and done here soon.

Oh I had a weird wobble with the head that came with my kit. wobbled pretty bad...I could see it just by spinning it by hand.

I bought this from Dave at tarot-rc-heli.com I think I ordered it wednesday it was here saturday! Wobble is totally gone and it worked fine with the rest of the parts...I didn't have to buy an entire new upgraded head just this.

I think I used the 5mm one for single wire and the 7mm for the two front servos.. and the 9mm for the big clump of wires from the gyro to the receiver.

You need shrink wrap also when you cut it it frays...But I got lazy and used electrical tape on the ends.

Yes I think you can use the ZYX-S without a receiver but from what I gathered on heli freak it is a huge pain in the butt to setup and most people gave up.

the zyx-s only needs a sat,no reicever needed,it was my first fbl set-up.very easy to set-up and user freindly,and works great and now have 3

I finished wiring and setting up the gyro and tail.

Onto leveling the swash and doing blade pitch and all that stuff tonight. Hopefully first hover test on wednesday.
