LOL! that starting value sorta dinged the new ones even more since starting voltage was higher...so even more voltage drop.

Mix up solved with white label batteries!

Ok.......a few days have gone by, I emailed Jason @ CNHL to make him aware of our situation and here's what I received this afternoon:

<<<Dear Ray,

Sorry to keep you waiting for few days.

After our investigation, we have recalled all the batteries with white
labels. Those with white labels are samples for our internal purpose only
but they are released to the market by mistake.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We would like to offer you a full
refund for the batteries with white labels and you do not have to return
them to us. You may keep them and they are all safe to use.

We decided to present one of the following offers to appreciate for your
support and patience.
A) We ship 2 packs of 1300-3S-30C to you from our international warehouse
free of charge but it may take a bit longer than shipping from our US
warehouse.
B) We offer 15% extra discount for your next purchase on all merchandise
value.
Please let us know you preference and your valuable feedback is very
important to us. CNHL is worth to have great customers especially like you.

Best regards,
Jason.
>>>

Thanks Jason!!!
This is great news. This is the type of PR that we need in the hobby......only a few other vendors I have ever dealt with have ever handled a problem so well. I still need a strong pair of 1300 30c 3s batteries so I took offer "A".
I have great confidence the batteries he will send will be as good or better than what I have gotten from them in the past.

it's kinda amazing that a company would even send out a statement that they made a mistake like this. usually they would just say they sent the wrong ones. this shows what a stand up company will do, and i think CNHL deserves some respect for doing so.

i'm glad to see this company doing business this way, as i'm in need of some new lipo's and i think this just made my decision on what brand i will be buying.

Exactly.......I wouldn't normally post an email BUT in this case I decided it was just what needed to be shown.

Good stuff, that kind of news makes me want to order some more. How is the packaging of the batteries you guys are receiving from the USA warehouse?

I bought two 4S 5000mAh 40C packs to use as 8S packs in my warbird race plane. I'm running a Scorpion 4035-560 pulling about 115A for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes of full throttle flight. The CHL packs out performed my Nanotech 4S 6000mAh 25C packs so I ordered 4 more packs. I have been testing them for about three weeks and they have not let me down. Unfortunately they have gone up in price and I would like some more.

uh oh, i just got some from them too, some with the stickers on them. I'll have to test. i did write him back about the packaging too. 7 batteries, some 4 cell, were packaged in a priority then cardboard envelope. Coming from CA they went by air. I told him I love a great deal, but this can't be safe. He said they were going to change their packaging. Can't be that much more to use a box.

I'm going to guess those "samples" came from a different cell manufacturer and that's why you noticed the difference in size/weight.

Good to see them step up and make a generous offer to make it right. That's something not too many companies would do these days. I'm impressed.

I received one of the white lable 1300 mah packs 2 days ago, I just emailed Jason at CNHL asking for the free replacement. I'll post the results of my request here.

If the do indeed send a new battery, I've got to say that's super customer service and they will be getting all my battery business!!.

No idea if Jason has seen this thread, but if I had a business selling batteries on the web I'd be keeping a very close eye on the comments in this thread...
