Ax-2810q 750kv motor test, as good as the nx-4006 530kv

The motor has a nice finish and feels solid.
Comes with 2mm bullets fitted.
Long wires, 35cm

anybody know the resistance of the AX-2810Q-750KV as im trying to get ecalc estimates.

i currently have:
kv:750 (himodel)
resistance:?
noload: .82A @14.8v (himodel)
Limit: 370(himodel) -> 444(HK)
#mag poles: 16 (counted off of HK image)
case length: 26 (hk)

Case length is wrong , it's 12mm outside, measured by me now, and, according to motor code 2810, this means the stator diameter is 28mm and stator/magnets length is 10mm.
Mag poles again wrong, it's a 14/12 standard setup
I would use 0.2 Ohms for ecalc, it's a typical resistance for this motor class.
Anyway, this seems to be the best flat, not disk motor design under $20, no need for ecalc to say this, OP test results speaks.

oh, ok so its the can length measurement on HK. thanks! and i guess guessing at 1/4 of the magnets hidden in the picture isnt a good idea. hopefully using it for a hexa.

ok so i have a question for my ecalc calcs. i have attached the excel of all parts which has final weight except for gimble, gopro, vtx batts and landing gear and so i just made the ecalc total to 3000g instead of 2400g. some of the grams are weird because i didnt want to add another column for final proportional weights, so i just changed some of the values.

i have two cams n stuff for the pilot and one for the gopro/other cam controller

does this ecalc seem plausible? are these motors really that great? seems strange.

oops missed the top row. B is individual price, c is quantity, d is total price of that item, e is grams of that item, f is total grams of the quantity. at the bottom is the total g (~2400)

it should produce ~1880g each with 11in props so thats like 11000g. i should be able to do 5500g max weight but with 3000g overall in ecalc i get .4:1 thrust to weight (see the . in .4).

...and using the wrong calculator came out to 22min hover with 8000mah.

Hopefully a cam/fpv/gimble won't add much weight.

Do you guys think it would be best to have two fpv systems? One that is always for ward for the pilot and then another one for the gopro/gimble so that the cam dude can move that independetly with a second tx.

I just got 4 of these from Himodel, and while the quality is pretty good for the money, and the performance seems pretty good so far, 3 of the 4 I received have bad bearings. One of them is really bad and it would reach a point where it would actually seize turning it by hand.

I did pop one of the bearing shields off and there is quite a bit of crud in it. I suspect they are all just dirty bearings, but on a new motor that equates to a bad bearing.

On a better note, the rotors are actually balanced.

They will be good motors, just have to replace all the bearings. Bummer!!!

Talking "secret sauce", interesting how real life setups can produce quite significant results than bench measurements.
Get the first row in your table, 300 grams 3s 12x4 prop = 37W drawn = 8.11g/W. This could mean 300 * 4 = 1200 g quad, right ?
My 1150 grams quad draws in hover 9A from 3s, turning a 12x4.5 prop, which led to 11g/W efficiency.
Could be the effect of the ESC reflashing ? Are you testing with 400Hz driven ESC, or a standard aero setup ?

Interesting.
Margin of error was probably +-0.5g/w
11 is a significant difference.

Esc could play a part there.
I was using unflashed.
As at the time there was not option for SIL based ESC

There are other explanations though... just these days is in progress a thread about wattage, find it in electric gliders forum.
Lots of good points there about how misleading could be the static thrust.

Just found this thread via google as I'm experimenting with these motors. I ordered the 900kV version directly from the manufacturer, they provided me with the internal resistance in case you want to make simulations in ecalc. It's 0.108ohm
