Help!
1/35 scale italeri Pt 596 r/c conversion

I need advice on what size motors and speed controls for 1/35th scale PT. Any help would be appreciated. I was thinking of using two Graupner speed 400 motors with a single Hitec SP 520 plus electronic speed control and .75 inch three blade props. Battery power will be a 7.2 volt nimh pack. I want to try to keep it close to scale speed. Or would it be better to run just one motor? Joe

The 400s will work . They fit well in the boat and will provide a nice scale speed and wake on that hull. Enjoy !!! That's a really nice kit so post some pictures for us to see you on the water .

Thanks PTman. I've had this kit for at least 3 years, so it will be a while before I get started on it. I wanted to get the running gear worked out first. I hope to work on it this winter and maybe put it on the water next summer. Too much on the honey do list to get it done any sooner. Do you think I should run one or two speed controls? Joe

Thanks PTman. I was hoping that the 400's would work, they are small and wont take up allot of room. Just a matter now of when to get started on it. All i need to order are the motors, shafts and props. It will be a good project to work on this fall and winter. Joe
