Thanks man! It needs more balls (power) but once that is fixed, this thing is going to be AWESOME!

Well atleast you brought the balls today. It always takes guts to takeoff and underpowered model for its test flight. Again, great job today!

i wouldnt have said 6s was ok if i knew you were flying from grass...yikes! with proper cg and less trim and weight the power would have been netter. but your right it could use some more though i think its going faster than you think it is. cant wait to see it dialed in!

Yea only grass stripa around here unfortunately.

It would of been better had we not lost the nose gear doors during the failed first attempt. All that area open to airflow was very draggy i imagine.

The airplane felt great in the air, but it does need more power. Good thing im getting a decent tax return, that should help pay for the. Power upgrades.

So who wants one!? We need to sell at least two of these things soon so we can build some funds. Lol

This airplane is by far the coolest thing I have ever attempted and accomplished (up to this point). The presence it has in the sky is just amazing, and when we get two of these things with some decent performance in the sky at the same time.. ooohhhhh boooyyy I can't wait!

yea you may be right, it was flying well, just very nose heavy.. We decided if it didn't fly on 6s 10000, we weren't gonna tippy toe around and waste money trying anything else, it would go straight to a 12s 5000 setup since we have four 6s 5000 lipo's already. We both were getting a bit burnt out, but todays semi-success has given us both enough zoom in our step to get Tom's done, but there is allot left to do to do his still.. It'll be an all hands on board to get his done by May 1st!

well, not only did it fly, but it looks like it flew very well. go up to 7S or 8S and you'll have more power than you'll ever need. glad to see the damage isn't too severe. congrats on an otherwise successful flight.

I've been watching this thread quietly, but needless to say, congratulations! The fire sucks, but it was almost worth that last pass, looked and sounded so cool. Good work guys.

Well done! I call that a success. The model flew and it is relatively undamaged. Looks from the video to fly under good control except the Cg of G being too far forward. I am sure with the C of G in the correct place you will take off easier and also fly on less power. I hope it gave you a bit of an adrenaline rush, we still get one whenever we fly!
