Norm,

I would love to continue competing with you, even if it's for last place! Just keep in mind that we're surrounded by first-class pilots, which can be frustrating at times, but folks in other parts of the country would love to be in our situation. We've both progressed to the point where the plane doesn't matter much anymore, and it's down to our steely nerves and battle-hardened reflexes.

Let's have a fun-fly and BBQ when you're back from NM. I'll send you a postcard from Florida when my 2-month deployment starts - hopefully after the BSoAZ.

Hey if you got that I was giving up.. you are way off. I am saving myself for a new chapter in sports for the Storm. Better shape, better attitude, better planes, you better watch out. I am coming strong and hard. Just kidding. I'm always going to be myself happy go lucky. I love competing. It fuels the fire. hell if i wanted to sit on the side line i'd have gotten into cheerleading. Go team USA. ok i guess i am a cheerleader but for good reason. All in fun to keep us young!!

We all know that you never give up, even if your planes sometimes do. Looking forward to that phalanx of P2s, flown by you and Tim, showing up at the field one day in the near future.

Jun, Mike, George and Charlie are all going to donate one of our DLG’s after the 2013 World DLG competition is over to help get the raffle sales rolling. Jun is pretty sure he will be donating a Stoble-V3. Mike is offering whichever Concept X2 or X3 has the least wear and tear in his collection. George and I will both be donating a Concept also. I am not sure if George will be donating an X2 or an X3 but I do know that I will be donating an X2. It is important to point out that all of these DLG’s will be used and they may or may not be in “like new” condition. All of these will have made the trip to Denmark and back and will all (with the possible exception of mine which actually made the trip to Sweden in 2011) very likely have been flown in the competition. The radio's will not be included (the exception here is that Mike will include the Spektrum receiver if the winner is planning to use a Spektrum radio) Mike will also give the model program to the winner of his Concept if the winner is using a Spektrum/JR radio.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support!

Thermals were nice, but you had to earn them at times, and no planes were busted. Well, Greg's elevator separated from the boom, but a masterful save prevented significant damage.

See ya'll at the BTH in 2 weeks!

Hi Charles,
Sorry that I wan't able to make it on Saturday. Looks like it was a great day!

Hi Dave,
It looks like I'm recovering pretty well. I went out Sunday and flew my Taboo for over an hour. My launches are as whimpy as ever but it was lots of fun getting into some thermals.
Please sign me up for the BTH on Ch 41. It will be great to see the DLG gang again!
Thanks,
Ray

George was launching low, but flying high. Don't let that stop you from attending the contest.

Task list

here's the task list for SAGE Beat the Heat on 20 October

I'll be using a new audio track system using Adrian's F3K Master to do the announcing which should make the scoring task much easier.

Hope it works well and then we can use it for Blue Skies too

I did 14 rounds because I don't know how long a day we'll have

Should be busy as it's TIME or FLY, 2 heats per round and 10 minutes between heats and rounds.

Feedback welcome
