My cub has the 2500kv motor.

awesome case and hinges and wheel pants
Thank's !

what exactly are you "small plastique hinges " ?
i just cut in a small plastic box (about half millimeter thick) some hinges (about 2 cm long and 1 cm large). Then i bend each of them in the middel to get a good hinge and i glue it in holes i did with a cutter in both the wings and the ailerons and it works great !!

what are you wheelpants made of ?
You will find it here :
http://www.shapeways.com/model/29299...eel-pants.html
It is virtually indestructable and very light. I did it for the cone prop too and it never breaks anymore...

create your own hinges for UMX foamies--suggestions ?

My last floppy disc got tossed in 1992--well the 5 1/2" version anyway.

hinge tape? I have never used it but have seen it for sale[/QUOTE]

Only if you've put one in yourself! It might say 2500 on the box but if you check the actual motor they are fitted with the [better] 2300kv version.

A very good job you have done too Sir!
Do you care to share the internal dimensions of the cutouts? You can PM me if you prefer

If that is the case, go to Wal-Mart and pick an emergency blanket for a buck. Those are made of that material and will give you a lifetime supply.

Hi Tony,

No problem to share the cutouts but i don't have any dimension or plan. I begin with the sbach and transmitter, then i ad the beast 3D, and the 2 hélis... I just adapted the case with time, in order to put more and more material in it...

I can give you the internal dimensions of the case but for the planes and the hélis you must take the mesures of each "toys" and ad 2 cm for an easy tidying up. Take my picture to have an idee of how to place them correcly in order to be able to fit everything on that case size.

Inside mesurement of the case is 50cm large, 65cm long and 14cm height...
But be aware that if you want to place bigger planes or hélis you will have to buy a bigger case... It only fit for these models.

Hope you get enough info to make yours !
Regards,
Fred

The AS3X plane is on rails while the non AS3X plane is balloony in the wind, when you move the CG back.

When you went to WOT, I have not heard that scream come out of either of my Sbachs. That sounded fast.
Yeah that sounded really fast, I have 3 2500kv motors and none of them sound like that. But My B3D with the 3000kv sounds EXACTLY like that. My guess is that they relabeled the 3000kv motors with 2500kv stickers or did some serious redesign.

I completely agree. I'm one of the few who has tested all three back to back. This plane flew exactly like my 3000kv, even sounded the same.

How did you do that with that case? I'd have to hire a full time CAD designer to make all that fit in one case!! Do you have blueprints/designs?

Brian,

Most of these cases have two layers of foam.
Lay the object flat against the top foam layer and trace an outline around it with a sharpie.
Remove the top foam layer and cut the traced out area with a kitchen electric carving knife.
Cuts like butter.

Many different inexpensive plastic gun cases out there.
My Tx case was $10 at Walmart.

Yeah I was talking about how many things were in that one case. It didn't even look that big. I think I'll have to try and make one myself.

For the doubters regarding availability:

The Sbach 3D was on the water when we announced it.

at the risk of sounding like a dunce , I just did a search on this thread for "water"... I don't see any hits besides the post today

for those of us coming to the party a little late, need a little more info I think..

maybe I'm reading this incorrectly... is it being said the new SBach was already on the water the day it was revealed/announced? which looks like was Sept 12th...

Dave, perhaps you can make the downloadable programming available for those of us that have the USB Programmer?
