I was wondering, which plane would be more suitable for high alphas, harriers, very tight flying spaces, this one or the B3D?

Both

Honestly My B3D flies a bit slower than my AS3X Sbach but they are very close. The B3D has more wing area and maybe a little more lifting ability, however it is the draggiest thing I've seen. This might be a good thing as it slows down quickly and doesn't pick up much speed on down-lines.

Again though Either would probably work.

ok it was here waiting for me when i got home, so straight out the back and took some photos
Did i mention It looks nice

First up there is a huge chunk of foam missing now so the battery can be pushed back, and your notice the Velcro does not go all the way to the front anymore! maybe something to do with how some people complained of the plane being nose heavy?
The board and rear servos look to be in the same spot to me

anyway here is a swag of photos for your appraisal

cheers chuck

Thanks for the pics Chuck!

I know how good my 3S Beast 3D is w/AS3X.

My 3Sbach is wicked fast and precise.

3Sbach 3D w/AS3X should be awesome!

Is it just me, or does the blue make the sbach look sleeker?

It reminds me of a Blue Jay. I have to admit that I like the more agressive look of the original more than the new one.

I don't like the rudder.
The lines don't match up and it looks like an afterthought...

Might be enough to put me off getting one!

Awesome pictures, but still not sure... Did they carve into the wing to add that much space for the battery??? And if so, do you think it could affect structure integrity?

The Wing has already had a large notch missing from the Leading Eedge thru the fusealge. I know this because I tore a wing off using a tree as a "pylon" and the first inch or so wasn't even attached to anything.

They carved the foam back to the Aileron servo slots, now. I don't know if I would have gone that far. It looks like I will be adding some CF to this area and drilling some weight from the battery tray. This seems like a better solution to me, but I don't have many of the long/narrow 200 packs. The CG on my 200 packs is further back.

video will be up in the morning when i get up it's rendering now
i show in the video the difference between the two battery compartments, it looks like the mold was changed and that chunk of foam is just missing, hard to say what it will do to the strength, you would think it would have to be not as strong? as it is a fair lump missing, time will tell i guess!
Still it is a nice looking plane and i am looking forward to a maiden flight to see just how it does go with the AS3X
I noticed the wing loadings are different, the original Sbach = Wing Loading 4.2 oz/sq ft the AS3X Sbach Wing Loading: 5.9 oz/sq ft bit hard to tell the weight as the original is without battery 55g the AS3X flying weight 75g
Watching the video of Mike flying it i don't think i have seen anyone post videos here, showing them flying theirs like that and it seems to have plenty of power to do everything asked of it. Mine will stay stock as always but at least those that love their 3s power should be able to convert with ease and have the plane everyone was trying to make

Hope the color isn't too hard to see in the sky as i quiet like it in it's new livery

cheers chuck

I hate that video! My old Sbach was my ultra-micro "pylon racer". Now, you look at that video, and it's a 3D airplane that does hovering and awesome blenders. I'm all confused now!
