This thing flies so well high alpha's, KE,s no problems at all can fly slow with confidence, but hovering I found a little harder at first as I've got to pulse the throttle to get it to come up high and straight.by the 3rd battery I was doing blenders 1foot high speed KE's across the field and back and still haven't tried the SFG's yet.
Today(Sunday) I went to the local hockey club,to use there carpark for a fly,it was a little windy with afew gusts,no idea what the wind speed was cause that didn't seem to matter for me that is,doing my usual thing but this time it got away from me and flew over my head and lost it and I piled it into the ground(nose 1st ) but to my surprise it didn't explode(Tough little sucker) but only cracked the underside of the cowl and bent the prop adapter.
So it's fixed now with afew pieces of CF stripe and abit of CA and I used the motor&prop out of my Hyper Taxi,so for the moment it's all good to go...hey what effect will the lager prop have on this little beasty?
Later
If you have the stock motor, the 2500kv, the recommended upgrade prop would be the GWS 5030. If you aren't familiar with the change over, the GWS blades are great, but need balancing. Also when you pull the stock blade off take care not to lose the small o-ring spacer that holds the prop away from the cowling.
The Sbach is a favorite of mine. Have many great flights with it.

5030 is great! I have about 100 flights on mine and its still going strong! Only thing I have had to fix is removing the broken "wheel pants" and the tail fin came unglued so the little carbon rod came out... NBD.

Guys, I was having oscillation issues with my Sbach AS3X and finally fixed it. I started an AS3X thread here if anyone is interested in splitting the topic into its own easily indexed area:

Yeah, nice flying! Regarding the landing - if you manage descent rate with throttle & manage airspeed with elevator, and carry a bit of power all the way down, you'll be able to grease her in right at your feet just about every time.

Danny,

Is the airplane in that video stock or 3S? It seemed to really be moving.

I am using the 2s 260mah Nanotec along with a 5030 GWS prop so it is an improvement over the stock prop and crappy e-flight battery's.

Thanks, seemed normal watching it now on my pc. Had watched it before on my phone which made seems look smaller, farther away, and thus faster.

Perhaps a cheaper way to go faster is fly looking through binoculars backwards..

Call it the alternative to flying in a smaller venue for the same effect.

Just picked up my Sbach UMX today. Are the wing servo's connected via a Y-connect or ?. I am thinking I would like to program them for flaperons if the brick is reprogrammable like the earlier AR6400's. If it has already been done and explained in this forum, please let me know where so I don't have to look through 100 pages of records. Tx....JJ460
