oooooh yaaaa baaaby!!!

I've been waitin' awhile for this one...waitin' for a few minor corrections to be completed... it looks like they added the white & black stripes on the elevator they were missing and corrected the color of the checkers on the cowl like I asked them to address before releasing the final product

daaang... I really need this and the V7 Petie

thanks for posting these pics!

My 2012 FMS V7 P-51 Big Beautiful Doll....

All that is left is to check CG....otherwise she's as dialed in as she's gonna get!

Simple Mod''s....Castle Ice 75a ESC, CC10a Bec, Carbon Fiber Custom spar rod to replace factory..

A better view....

Battery Choices

Hi Tony,
I'm looking to buy some batteries for this plane particularly Turnigy 30C - 3300mah or Turnigy 40C 3000 mah.

Do you think the 3300 is a better choice given the added weight and how much flight time would I get? Or should I go with a higher Mah battery?

Also have you flown your V7 yet?

Thanks,
Joe

I've had this news posted on some of the other threads for a few days now.

After numerous test sessions I've come to the conclusion that these new FMS Aluminum 60-120 E-Tracts will work on just about all of the 1400mm-1700mm planes. I've got all the info posted on my "E-Tracts...The New Generation" pg.

Gary, Do you think/know if they will be available fairly soon...I would put them in my FMS 1400 Corsair...Since I haven't performed my Maiden flight yet, I would do it prior to flying it...

I just got confirmation last nite that these will be hitting the market late Oct.

As for a rotating version for the Corsair, I haven't heard anything on that yet? I will note that in my next email to FMS.

Hi ya'll!

i've had my eye on the 1700mm mustang for a long time but now this is perfect!! Can anyone tell me what the cost is and where i can order it from? i can;t seem to see anything on the fms website for ordering or shipping and all that.

I'd also like to hear from anyone who's taken this up in the air...is there any motor/ESC/Lipo upgrade needed?

Much appreciated

FMS P-51 v7,

Hi Tony,

How are you. I just wanted to drop a line and see if you have been able to maiden your P-51? I know that you had a ESC and servo issue. That said should I be concerned with the stock ESC?

My red tails is about ready to fly her maiden this Sunday. If you have flow yours let me know how she flew.

By the way my takeoffs and landings are getter better. No broken propellers :-).

Regards,
Joe

Hey Joe,

I'm better now....been pretty sick this week. We were out of town last weekend attending three RC events and wasn't feeling great then and finally went down this week. Needless to say, I'm staying home this weekend to get the P-51 issues resolved and hopefully finish assembling five other planes. The music will be playing and the house will smell of foam glue and epoxy.

Great job on the flying and good luck with your maiden.

Best,
Tony

tony. With the 4s 4000 Lipo, was it a direct fit or did you have to mod to make it fit? Is the stock esc / motor sufficient?

I flew jcano24's V7 Red Tail maiden this morning and a second flight. The stock motor/ESC combo seemed fine. It flies scale! A 3600-4000mAh battery is perfect for good CG. No mod req for the 4000 to fit.

Best,
Tony

Hi Laurence,

I recommend using 4S 3300-4000mAh batteries for a good CG range.

Good luck,
Tony
