Just came in from flying over the Methow Valley in Winthrop, WA. Staying at Sun Mountain Logde and there are some really nice slopes around. Winds are steady at about 10 mph and light lift. The mule deer scatter when my Taboo goes above them at about 200 ft. Not trying to scare them, they are just cautious. This after noon, smoke has started to come into the valley from some wild fires further south about 30 miles or so. Hopefully, the fires will end soon and those in danger can escape the further losses.

I also flew this morning and was attacked by a hawk but not hit. Didn't stop me from flying though.

I spent some time building my Predator II. I charged my Mystic, but didn't actually find time to fly it today

I'm trying it install a new fuse and tails... Gonna give rudderless a try and a spring/string setup. This will easily be a much lighter Fr3aK. Im very anxious to see how that works out in comparison. It will share the wing the Fr3aK I'm flying now. If I like it in light air I may even buy a TS wing from Tom for it.

To stay in the spirit of the thread, I flew my DLG today, and again it ended up being all about quick turn-arounds. One of the flights made 3, but just barely. Got more power into my re-lights. At the end, I had to rescue my dog out of a tightly fenced in cow pasture that he somehow broke into, but couldnt remember how to get back out. The cows started coming to investigate him and he suddenly realized the grass was greener on my side of the fence. Made for a good laugh

I put a dime in my nose and miraculously my Helios came to life!

Checked the classifieds, hoping I would would find it.

Didn't your mother ever tell you not to stick things up your nose?! Though I am intrigued by the fact that your nasal stuffing makes your DLG fly better!

I flew this evening from 6:20 to 7. According to my altimeter I had my first 150 foot launches today.

It set in the corner all by it's self. 40mph plus wind gusts today.

Today I worked on the radio programming for my brother's Lightspeed (about 3 hours of flying in blue skies, light lift and L&V wind) and repaired my Stobel boom in preparation for the ECHLGF.

Thought all day about getting home and attempting the delam repair AGAIN!!! But it's very late, and I'm too tired AGAIN!!!! I'm hoping I only work 10 hours or so Weds. so maybe I can get this dang repair done before the contest on Sat.

I guess I could stay up late Friday..........

I had my first flights with my new used LightHawk. Wow, this ain't no Radian. I like it! The very first toss was super - no trimming, nice and straight, and it just.... kept.... going! I worked up to a few harder javelin type launches and a very gentle discus launch. I then learnt I needed to fix up the elevator linkage, so back to the workshop. I was amazed at how slowly it can fly, and that I caught a small thermal even at 5:30pm in the breeze.

I planned on going out to fly this morning before work but went back to bed....
I tested about 50 servos today with my new servo tester though!

Completed repairs, and maidened my father's new (to him) DLG!

Fixed my Topsky 2 disser.

Worked on my new Predator 2, found out airtronics 802's won't fit in the pod.... Looks like the plane won't be completed by this weekend like I had hoped....

My Hybrid DL hangs in my cube here at work while it rains outside.

Maybe it will clear up by Friday.
