and they were a BEAST to fly
why do you want a 4 channel and nitro at that it just adds to the mess

if you just starting out just get some thing like a mSR X be for you start sinking big money in to it

Look into the Lite machines 110, it shares alot of parts with the Multiplex electric Fun Copter. There old but there tanks! I never flew one but i recently picked up 1 and 2 for parts.

What makes a 4ch a mess? Who says Im just starting out? I already have a v911 so I wouldnt be interested in a blade mSR X. Im not interested in nitro rc's either I was just curious if they exist.

a V911 is a toy it can teach you some basics but its only a first baby step
dont let any one fool you ARE A NEW PILOT
you are not ready for a nitro yet
not all 4 channels are a mess but a 4 channel OLD out dated heli with mechanical mixing IS a mess
a 4 channel mechanically mixed CP is FAR out of your skill range to build and fly
im not being hard on you to make you quite its just this is not an easy hobby and on top of that its very easy to hurt your self or some one else

are you even an AMA member yet? if not you need a full member ship if your going to fly nitro

NOW
that said you can learn on a nitro but your going to need a 6 channel bird
and a good radio and good servos no hobby king junk
a nitro can kill and are much heavier then e power helis

so if your still set on a nitro take a look at a Raptor .30
and be for that GET A SIM! let me say that again
GET A SIM and a nice radio and work on the sim till you can at lest hover tail in
then get your self a Raptor 30 kit and learn from that point

and its not going to be cheap your looking at lest 2k investment in every thing you need to get flying in a 30 size nitro

The V911 is great mico 4ch F/P heli and is full function. It is considered a toy but a very good one. Hey they call my 74 Corvette Stingray a toy also. Anyway a Nitro heli is a serious ordeal and is just cubic dollars to build and maintain. Good for some but a good 450 E powered one will fly just as good. I have seen some nito helis that are awesome. RC you can go small or sky is limit if you have $$$. 4ch nitro hasn't been around in many years. I had a Heli-baby in early 80's but never finished it. Have all rotor parts/blades/hardware/tail rotorclutch / and linkages still in a box. Guy is Sweden was going to buy parts but was a dead beat buyer. Shame as parts were never used.

Yes I am a AMA member (American Motorcycle Association) I ride mx bikes and thats my passion not rc. Flying rc helicopters is just a hobby to me (it's not my life). That being said, you might can see now how I dont really care about pro pilots, nitro rc's, or 6ch 3D whatever.

Please do a little research before making wild off the wall comments like that.

Almost EVERY nitro heli is lighter than its electric counterpart.
There are very few exceptions to this.

They can kill though
