Hi there. My friend helped me to cut all the stuff. I start to assembly.

I resized this 95%. yes I've tried adjust offset, however there are so may parts so I would have made mistakes. so I decided resize and get it. So I need fan to be down to 80mm and hovering fan to ~5 inch. I need help guys. gimme some great information to make 2~3 lb from 5 inch prop or fan with very light weight!~

Total weight gonna 4~5 lb(I hope). thanks asdf

For the same diameter - EDF in theory. Nothing wrong with getting a 6" prop and trimming it to fit the duct.

For the 80mm fan, JetFan makes an 80mm one which would be a good, light-weight solution.

Some tips about self made duct: 1 props are not ridgid. It will bend when they make thrust by law of action reaction. 2 duct opening should be clear of any things interfere with air flow just open it. 3. Intake diameter vs exhaust dia should be 1:1 it means barrel shape is good. 4. Make your shoured perfect circle as possible and last thing is -i think you know- shoured and prop must be close as possible. It makes your ducted fan more efficient

Hi~~

hmm It's pretty rough one and if you use low quality ply (Like me) you can find it very fragile!!

wait I'll put this thing soon~~ I'm at my work place

Oh.. I just trained aerodynamics of F35 my self today with F22 70mmEDF

what I just feel again today is: inefficiency of ducted fan. I just flame out my 4000kv motor in 3 minutes and my F 22 landed on top of very big tree

it is very late night but it still on that tree with switch "on" still respond to my transmitter what the horrible experience !!!!!

well, I just changed my plan not to use ducted fan instead I'll gonna use 6~7inch APC prop with duct! this is my mold for intake.

I've just found this composition will be great.

Lockheed also used turbo fan engine for making hover thrust.

So I'll mimic that one.

very rough works make such a nice parts~

it is made by just layering of fiber and epoxy.

I ordered some bagging matterial and I just completed CAD work of F35 upper
parts mold I'll gonna print out that mold this week, and you can see beautiful shape soon~~

by the way, F22 test story:------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've just pulled out F22 foam EDF (hobby K**g) from very high tree. It was worst mission ever undertaken in my life.. I borrowed ladder from my building office. I and wife got to mountain where my F22 and Tree is. (what you should know: ladder is pretty heavy man!! ) with ladder, with pole which was made by my hanger, I finally got out my f22!!

it's flying is just very easy to stall and maintain it's status. I think it is for thrust vectoring right? absolutly need aileron-> elevator mix when it stall it's wing aileron became useless. primary cause of sitting on tree is aileron failure. I think it's because square shape of wing... please reply any informative comment!! thanks
