Nice video Tim.
Guess I am going to have to give some thought to an FPV setup this winter.

I was cleaning my basement this afternoon and came across this frame that I built last winter. It's one that I did nothing with because I didn't like how the motor mounts came out. Hopefully I fixed that and it works good enough to bring to the multirotor fest.

Why waste the time to paint it? I'm leaving it "in the white" just in case...

Lol... I had the brilliant idea of blow torching the wood for that "antique" look but that thought came after I was mounting the lights and I was too lazy to back track.

Maidened the new unfinished frame and it works great! Glad I didn't burn it...

Bob, any new news regarding the field we're going to use?

That thing looks like an unfinished salad bowl! Where does the camera go?
Looks like we'll have the same field as last time. There is a car show this Saturday, and a tractor show on Monday. I'm going to try and get some pics on Monday of all the local farmers. I may also go across the road and get a good aerial of the new Ice Cream shop as a gift for the Kenny Baker ( the owner).
I finally got all my multis working, should have at least 4 at the meet, plus a couple planes....
Tim, are you getting any good foliage shots up there? The color should be in full bloom by the 13th here.

BobD

P.S. Tried the ice cream, it was gooooood!!!!

Cool. I'm assuming they hayed the field?

The camera just gets velcroed on the bottom disk. Here's a short clip of tree scaling.

I'll be there with my tricopter and my small quad. The quad is still in the works, just picked up a warthox frame which I should get early next week, then back to tuning my multiwii board. That seems to take the longest amount of time!

I may need it. I'm running 2.1 on my board now, I'll try to tune out the bugs before we fly, but time is short. I got it somewhat close to where I want it, but then lost it and just feel like starting over. I'm excited to rebuild it on the new frame, hoping it'll end up lighter and more nimble or else I'll need a motor upgrade...

I'm still using 2.0, kinda happy for now, but still have some questions due to lack of experience.
