I haven't used that ESC or those servos before, though the servos look pretty similar to MG14 servos, which are a good value option of these sorts of planes.
Are you running the hengli motor on yours Groovejet?

Feda, are you using the Hengli motor that you're selling in the power combo ?
If so, it looks more than strong enough.

Thank you, guys, for your very generous words on my flying.

Yes, I used the Hengli W3542 motor with a 14x6 JXF wood prop.

I've got a video manual for the plane from SkyWing and I am trying to translate the text overlay from Chinese into English. It's still a work in progress, but I'd like to know if this works for you guys. Can you see the translation for the first 2 minutes? Is there a problem such as whether the translation is in sync with the original. Let me know. Thanks.

A Video Manual for the 48-in Scale EPP Wattaplane/Skywing Edge (12 min 1 sec)

Best regards,

I haven't tried that motor, so I'm not sure.

I'm using a Scorpion 3020-890. See here for more info on various motors: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...46&postcount=5

The video with an English overlay looks good, feda.

I love this plane, so I ordered another one in the blue and black Skywing scheme. It arrived yesterday (photo below).

Here's a video from last week of my red and black one. Thanks again to nac for filming me flying. Personally, I think this is the best video that nac and I have done to date of this plane. I hope you enjoy it, guys .

Nice GJ, mine shipped 8 days ago and I'm hoping maybe it will be here next week. I'm not sure how long it typically takes to get to the US on the east coast. The tracking numbers don't work with the tracking web site so I have no idea where mine is. I have all the gear ready and by the time it gets here I should be done with my honeydo list so I will be able to get this built right away. I was really torn on the color scheme, I did order the red for visibility but that blue just looks very nice. But my eyes aren't getting any younger so I went with the red which is still pretty sweet.

Really looks great.
I just crashed my MXS V2 again and it is getting heavy (CA...) and uggly.
As I love the MXS I wanted to replace it but this one is looking better.
How does it fly compared to the MXS V2? Could anyone that has both of them compare them? If it flys equaly good or even better then I'll buy this one.

Thanks

I'm looking for the same info myself. The MXS has a huge side area, most of which is just the vertical side of a box. You would think it would give quite some advantage in KE compared to the rounded fuse of this model. I'd love to hear from someone who knows.

I'm hoping mine will be here this week, as soon as I get and fly it I'll post my $.02 here. I'm also getting a new replacement for my poor beat up MXS V2.

My experience with the shipping via Hong Kong post has been acceptable once the package starts moving. Approximately 10 - 11 days from China to upstate New York. It is listed as Priority International package and can be tracked on the USPS web site, with the tracking number provided by Hong Kong post.

Ah, thanks I'll give that a try. I have been trying to track it on the link provided in my e-mail and getting no response.
