I'm sure it's quite a capable aircraft, Groove.

It's just that it's currently in the hands of an incapable pilot

Just pulled the trigger on a blue/black combo version. Groovejet hasn't steered me wrong yet.

Are you guys ordering from HK? The shipping seems a bit much. I am hoping the distribution in the USA may help with lowering shipping.

I ordered from bestvaluerc.com. If you wait to order from the US, I think you'll still end up paying about the same price (cheaper shipping, but more expensive airframe). I've ordered similar 48" full fuse EPP planes from 3 countries now (US, China, and Canada) and they all come out to about the same price, plus or minus a few bucks (<$20). BTW, the orders from China were the cheapest overall by a few bucks, even with the higher shipping costs. This order was in line with the others.

How much cheaper than $142.74 including shipping do you want?

+1 on the pricing
Can't really get much more of a deal on this style plane (Hybrid foam/balsa/ply).
Shipping from Best Value has been reasonably priced, and fairly fast.

I wish I had not discovered this thread....very nice indeed!!

I just ordered the RC Factory Sbach 48". Then I came across this...stiff competition I'd say!

Well, after the ease of repairing my Skywing wing at one stage, I have to say the benefits of foam, in a beautiful full fuze design like this, must mean that this will be on my 'christmas list' for sure.

Rick,

I've only had 2 flights on my plane and both were in gusty wind, but I can already see that this is a really great plane; good enough for me to order another kit already. I love feral planes and this plane is feral with a capital F

In a few hours' time, Vimeo will reset my weekly HD upload quota and then I'll be able to upload an HD video from the 2nd flight of this plane last weekend. This video features more aggressive flying overall and I feel that it shows the flight characteristics that convinced me to order another kit .

Oh, and it's also a great looking bird .

Can't wait to see another vid GJ. Your thoughts have reenforced what I was hoping to hear about this plane. Can't wait to get mine, all the gear is waiting to go in.

Well mine has shipped.

I have all my gear ready to install, which will be the same as my other Skywing planes.
