Jim- I told you we should've taken Brian's(TFBM- That Fricken Building Machine) fuse to slow him down!

Your "mistake" was leaving me those aileron! Thank you btw. The power planer made short work of that 1/2" thickness.

They look great Jordan, cant wait to see it in the air. Hopefully I will have it done for the Torrey fun fly (and hopefully there's wind). We have sheeted the wings with ply.

I took a shot at cutting the wing holes. I jigged up the fuse so the bottom of the fuse was slightly raised at the rear (about 1/8"). The bottom of the fuse is pretty flat but I like a little nose down attitude when flying. Using a flat block I drew a centerline on each side of the fuse 1 1/8" up off the table. Next i measured 15" back from the nose and made a mark on each side. This is where the leading edge on my wing is going to go. Next I used the airfoil template I used to cut the wings and I 3M-77'd it to the side of the fuse. Then using the back side of a broken exacto blade I scribed and scribed and scribed until I had the fuse cut (just like cutting a hatch). Repeat on other side..... DONE. Since you other builders don't have my airfoil template you can make your own using your wing root. Make the template from Formica if you have it.

Nice. Your nose is just a little bit longer than mine (by 3/4" or so). It'll probably look better too. More jet-like

FWIW these are the measurements I used.

Thank you for posting this Brian. I have never done this type of build it really interests me. I enjoy your fine work.

Popped another one out this morning. This one came out real good..... Be sure to buy lots of raffle tickets at the PSS fest!

Next one will be a heavy fuse for me to build

Do you have the templates for the tail? If you have a CAD drawing of the thing send it to me (dxf, Ver.. the older the better) and I will make some plans.

Here are tail templates in pdf. They should come out the right size if printed without scaling. I don't have a proper cad drawing. The fuse was done in devfus (but maybe I can find a way to export it) and the wings and tails were pretty much TLAR.
