Field Prep day at Peaceful Valley

Guys

Saturday the 8th is probably going to be field prep day at the campsite. If there is anyone nearby that would like to come down and spend a few hours helping out, (and flying with us at break time) please do. I will be there the night before with Jim Reid attending to our rolling shed (8 x 12 trailer) we leave up there.

I'll post some pics here sunday upon my return.

Setup details and photos.

Hello All:

I made it to Peaceful Valley around 9:15 to be the second to arrive to help out with setup this year. (I am usually the last to get their.) In my opinion, Sunday would have been the better of the two days but Tom insisted we gave Saturday a try to get it done. I understand that Jim Reid and Tom had been working on the field since 6:00 AM on layout so the confusing part was done and the brunt work was ready to be done.
Additional SEFLY members arrived shortly along with a new helper this year and we set out to finish before the rain arrived. Soon enough it was lunch time. This year because of the wind gusting to around 20 MPH everyone decided to get to work without a fun fly before getting back to work.
The results; We got pre-setup done by 3:00 PM, a record in the time I have been helping out!
As the rain storm rolled in the winds calmed down and Tom and Jim got some stick time in. (see photos)
It started to sprinkle heavily and the wind started whipping once more so I made a bee line to my car after saying 'see you next week' to everyone. (I also did not want to get my camera wet.) As I was on my way one of those 'Free Car Wash' rains started and I thought to my self we finished just in time.

All photos with the exception of the group photos were taken candid or as they occurred.

Following are the photos I took.

Enjoy and see you next week.

Till the next time.

Paul

Tom,

Can you post a new map so we can see where the event building really is?

See you tomorrow afternoon,

Gerry

Ok so I have Pneumonia (non contagious) - sucks, I am still coming but is anyone interested in help us unload on Thursday AM possibly early afternoon? just so Dan doesn't have to unload it all- I can set up but climbing in and out of the truck and trailer will be tough- let me know_ I am sure we can work out a great deal.
