New Gemfan 10" props in Composite and full CF for DJI 8mm hub motors

They just came in today. We had them made to fit the DJI motors with 8mm hubs and little notch. They will also work on non DJI motors.

The Composite (nylon/carbon and CF) weigh 10g each.

After it stops raining and we get caught up from holiday I will do some amp draw test. I'm thinking these will be great alternative to the Graupners.

I still have to get pics up tonight.

First 5 customers will get a free set (CW and CCW).

Gemfan gained a reputation for their initial good SF propellers, and now I see a lot of sellers use this reputation to sell noname propellers under this label...
I have Gemfan contact on my Skype, and he confirmed one more time that Gemfan does not manufacture carbon enforced stuff !!! yet...
So, what are you selling here actually ?

Well, if they are carbon, I don't care what they call them. I ordered some.

I'll get pics up today. We have two types FROM Gemfan.

The nylon/carbon version (which look like black plastic) and the full CF props (which are all Carbon Fiber). They have the Gemfan label on them and I did order them from Gemfan.

Hey, if you would have sent an e-mail to your past customers... I would have been first in line. LOL
I ordered 4 sets, and a free set would be great.
I am in MN so I should get them quick ;-) and all in the same shipment... LOL

Later,
Gundy

If i try these props, would you pay for my crashed parts if it turns out to be bad?
Will not use DJI after last crash. (hexa)
Graupner are expensive but good. Have it on my Discovery frame.

I got mine and they even have Gemfan stickers in the bag
I will post the picture if you like...
They look like they are a direct copy of the DJI prop, only in CF. I am going to post a direct comparison of the DJI, the Graupner and the Gemfan.
flights with each brand, with the OSD video. So you can see the amp draw and voltage.
They sound funny when you drop them on a table... I love the sound of CF.

Just talked with Alex at Gemfan. He stated clearly that:
- that logo is not theirs
- actually they don't have a logo
- they don't care about IP protection of name/brand
- they don't manufacture carbon propellers, only molded plastic
- everything that is not imported from here is not a genuine Gemfan prop.

Good luck with your personal flavor of Gemfan

As a hint, their plastic props have engraved a "G F" separated by a space.

In that case I and many many others have been using fakes all along, but who cares, they work and they work quite well. If they don't want a piece of the cake then I think that's their problem. People obviously want these products, not cheapo slowfly props that break in mid-air eventually, so they should get to work. I'll continue to buy the 'fake' Gemfans until they catch up.

Sure, but usually you buy a brand because you have a "certitude" what is behind that name...
