I have a Printrbot+ (and love it) in Sydney if anyone considering buying one want to see it in action. I got my PB+ through the kickstarter project. I should have a printrbot jr in a few weeks too.

I'm flying a self designed tricopter all built on the printrbot (minus the pine wood booms from bunnings). I've made so many iterations of the tricopter parts, my design cycle is about 45 minutes from idea to flying now, couldn't do it without the printrbot.

that's just why I ordered Solidoodle, to make test parts for multicopters.

It should be shipped this week after a massive wait since July.

Matt, I'm starting to have one of those out of body experiences.

Sorry about the crappy images... I only had a webcam to take photos with as I wanted to show the GoPro in the clamp.

The GoPro HD Hero fit into it with a nice snap after breaking off the support structure. Feels quite secure. I will probably clean it up with some sandpaper later as it's still a bit rough on the surface... but it's functional.

You should create something to protect the lens. It scratches very easily.

Yeah it's a good cradle to print out, does the job very well.

i have a 3d printer a mendel prusa (iteration 2) i built myself well its nearly finished about 95% done ive just gotta calibrate it and connect the end stops it has a pretty big print area of 20cm x 20cm x 12cm so it will be very useful once its completely finished

Yeah that size print table will be very handy. I have to get people to sometimes slice-up their models in software so I can fit them on my 130 mm square table.

After waiting almost 4.5 months, my Solidoodle 2 has shipped.
I'm very excited and will be able to build all the bits and pieces I always wanted to make for some of my multicopters and even restart my harrier jump jet project as I'll be able to print some nice vectoring nozzles. Well that's the plan anyway...
