Question
Nose Gear Door Hinges

I need to close up a nose gear door and need some hinges. I saw some spring loaded ones a while back but can't seem to find them? Or maybe now there is a better method, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

I just fitted 30mm long bullet plastic hinges to my Hawk, 2 on each side but could anyone suggest what would be the best outlet selling very soft springs some 30mm by4mm OD. to keep the pull-pull wires away from the nose gear retract mech, Joe.

What some have done is to use what we call a zip-tie or cable ties. comes in various lengths, and widths, for securing just about anything. It's bent in a U shape and shrink tubed over each steering cable. It always wants to spring apart, so on retraction, cables sping apart, down and locked, not enough compression to worry about.

I believe that Jofro's neck of the woods, is "downunder" . Not sure there are too many ACE, or TrueValue's there.

Above spring is too delicate for any h/ware store, tried them all. Even our spring specialist shop don't have it. I wonder where chineese get it for their h/ware kit packs, Joe.

Briggs & Stratton lawnmower engine governor springs are perfect. They are on the older engines with dual springs.
