Tom, I'm not sure, but can I ask why you want to know? Do people actually rely on this function? Me personally, I start off with a conservative time on my timer. Then measure how much is left in the battery after the flight. I'll increase my time until I'll I feel comfortable with it.

But I'm sure there is an explanation that I haven't heard yet that I might be able to learn from as well. Let me have it.

I also do the same as SkylineFlyer and never got in trouble like that

Those floats look like glass Paul. Nice job!. I'll do that with my 2nd Beaver if I can find the money for another. LOL.

That recipe does a great job , its still a bit wet but drying nice.
I also ordered a spare set

Just a spare set of floats, not shure if they are available yet but I ordered them.
Those are the nicest floats I have seen so far in foam

its all in good humour

Well its starting to get cold to fly by the water now , yesterday my fingers where cold and this morning its even colder so not shure I will be flying.

I better just stay in and work on the Beaver floats

Went by my LHS Saturday to get some paint for my floats, they dont even carry foam safe paint there. I dont even want to fly mine with floats till they look more scale....lol

I feel the same way, mine should be ready for painting tomorow.
I will really detail them. decals, paddle , rubber nose , cross cables, the steps.....the works
