I had a chance to practise quite a bit of ground control in the snow a few days ago when I had so much trouble with a flight. My whole backyard was marked up with ski marks.

You have the small water rudders on? Mine doesn't have them at all. Today I zipped it around the snow like a pro and took off nicely.

Yes I still have the water rudders on. I really did not even try any taxiing. I thought the water rudders might get messed up. Did not hurt them at all.

Take the rudders off. Like Paul said if you need it to turn better push the nose down (down elevator) and it turns on a dime.

flap channel on RX...?

I don't have a flap channel on my Rx's...? I have the AR6110e Rx and the Ar6100e Rx. It only has an "AUX" plug....so how do I get my flaps to work using my DX6i Tx...? And are these good Rx's from a range perspective...?

flyzone

Hmm. After some long contemplation and process of elimination from a simple perspective I've decided I shall for go the Beaver and go with the "Glasair Sportsman RTF". Easier to remove the wing for transport and the RTF factor appeals to me. I may in the future use my DX6i Tx for it but for now I will use the DX4 Tx till my skills are up to the SIM par I have been using for the last 2 years. Advice much appreciated sir and thank you. Its been a great help in my decision making.

I would use a full range receiver if I were you. The plane can get away from you quickly - the microlite RX's are for small park fliers and down.
