Hi, Paul:

Thanks for the info on tension springs about 1,000 posts ago .. have orded an assortment of stainless steel extension springs to fiddle with.

Meanwhile .. have you installed the MrRcSound audio unit ?

I think I may have you confused with another RC Groups member ??

Just finish installing my belly strobe and the Wig Wag module.
Very cool to see the flash reflection on the floats

Which graphics did you get from Callie? I contacted her a couple of weeks ago and at that time she had only done 2 Beavers; one in the Kenmore Air scheme and one in the Evening scheme.

I was hoping to get a couple of the EDO floats (thanks for cleaning that up) to complete my plane.

-Mike
Mike - I just made up with a fictitious company logo and canadian registration to use with stock scheme for now - I don't want it to look like every other FZ beaver at our first float fly of the year!
I'm waiting to see how Paul's second Beaver's paint holds up or I might attempt Jim's vinyl covering method when I go for a scale scheme, we'll see!
Anyway, Callie did a great job! I got the under wing registration and the two for on the vertical fin, 2 DHC beaver logos and 2 Canadian flags for the tail, 2 Canadian Bush Company logos, two P&W ac engines decals, and a script "Corry" with a heart (all in vinyl) to my specifications for $19.00 (US) - and they shipped it the next day! She's currently quoting a complete Alaska State Trooper Super Cub package for me in quarter scale!

Also - Russ cleaned up the logo!

Russ - I like the red, white, and blue but it may look just as good in a solid color!

I just started dealing with Callie Graphics (and I'm obviously thrilled with the results) but I haven't really looked into any other media's she might offer - everytime I've sent a question though, I've had an answer when I got home from work!

Paul - Love the strobes! Two questions - Who makes that belly strobe and how difficult was it to change the one in the tail to white? ~ Robin

Hi Robin

THe Belly strobe module I got here
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/RC-LED-Lights...item1e75838258

I removed the 4 leds and soldered a bigger White LED and selected a nice strobe effect.
Changing the Tail LED was not too bad I just got a 3mm Ultra bright LED with the resistance and siliconed in place
The strobe module is for 6 to14 volts and my Wig Wag landing light module is up to 12volts so those 2 module I have them, plugged in to my Power Lipo

Getting there , did some painting in the cockpit area even if we cant see much inside because of the tinted windows it those darken the cabin area and looks better.
Picture here of the longer rudder control arm at the tail section made with a sevo arm.
also a picture of the cargo area were I installed the receiver and the 2 light module.
To control the Wig-Wag landing light modes there is a small push button and it needs to be push to turn on one landing light and again to start the Wig-Wag.
I dont have an extra channel just yet to install a switch for that so for now I decided to install it in the door and the button sticks out like a door knob

Hi Crash
Nothing to it really.
The cutting is just along the panel line.
Then what I do is use clear silicone adhesive and apply a thin coat all around the door with my finger and let dry well.
now the door can be put back in place and has a good seal.
to secure it in place I only use sowing pins 2 of them that I push thru the foam fuselage to the door side, one on each side of the door.
now the door is very well secure and can be open if needed.

Thanks alot !! I just downoded it and just started flying it
Do you consider this more like the Beaver to fly than the others ?
You're welome. I think it's closer to ours than the others. It flies close but not quite the same. I had to add a bunch of aileron differential and expo in the program easy model settings and it seems to land a bit too easy. It just kind of "sticks" the landing where ours would bounce.

Hey, thanks for the beaver model for my clearview! Is there one out there on floats?
You're welcome also. I have not found a Beaver on floats yet. There is a much larger, gas powered version on ski's but it is nothing like our Flyzone.
