Thanks for those links, the pictures answer a lot of questions for me. I think the lines going from the wings to the floats are unnecessary, but they maight actually be there to help pull the floats up off the water.

It's extremely easy. The RX is just laying loose in the bottom of the fuse. It was the first thing I did when I got my Beaver. One thing I noticed, though, was that I had to reverse every channel except for the throttle.

Question: are the floats completly foam or is there a protective shell under them?

Got mine today. Just opened the box and it looks pretty nice.

Just picked up my beaver from SN, which prompted me to fix another plane first. Now ready to unbox. Nothing like a new plane to motivate me to work on even another model before getting to the new one lol.

I still don't see what the loops are for though. A 1/4" inside of the loop is a catch for the rubber band. The loop serves no purpose that I can find.

All foam. The inside edge does have a hard plastic runner to reduce splashing on the prop though.

PaulRC, the floats are all foam.

Maybe the loops are to tie it up at the dock. LOL

Doing some tests on some foam using alluminium speed tape to simulate real floats , it would look great
