Bomber Field USA's 24th Annual Gathering of B-17s and Big Bird Scale Fly-In




Sept 14-16, 2012. Monaville, Texas. (40 minutes w/nw of Houston)

Scale models will be on display, along with simulated R/C Tank battles fought by the Texas Armor, along with a visit from the North Texas Battle Group with their 1/144 RC warships. Childrens attractions including RC car driving on a dirt track will be available.

Spectators 13 and up $7.00. Children 12 and under are free. Hamburgers and hot dogs served fresh from onsite kitchen. Cold drinks, candy, chips, and souviners ( Bomberfield T-shirts and caps ). Come watch the giant B-17s fly in formation while seated comfortably in either ground level pit building or second story observation deck seating.

NOTAM:

Civilian or military aircraft. Landing fee TBD. RV parking available (but no hook-ups). Current AMA membership card required. Prop monoplane 80" w/s and bi-plane 60" w/s minimum. Jets must have minimum 140" w/s total length + width. 750' x 50' paved and 800'+ grass parallel runway. Bomber Field impounds 72mhz, ham frequencies.

Wonderful video! I honestly cannot count how many time's I watched it after this year's BFUSA Warbird meet. VASTLY looking forward to this weekends B-17 gathering. I am going to try to take some video (via friends at varying positions for multiple shots of the same take-off's and landings that will make for great splicing together. We should collaborate on the 2012 video and wow the RC community with what Bomber Field has to offer :-)

Only 3 day's left and the pits are already starting to fill up! This is just the tip of the iceberg!

Im so excited for the big bird. Ive yet to get my hands on a b-17 but ill throw something in the trailer. Excited to see people are already there.
