Looks good. But HK are such N00bs. I can see flux on the board that they didn't clean off in the picture :P

If you want to pay $74 just to have a 32bit CPU go right ahead.

Because that's what it was designed for. The MultiWii firmware assumes you are running an 8bit ATmega at 16Mhz, and works well.

It does. Not that multiwii is simple, but it isn't like running a full blown computer with more than 2ghz clock cycles, but multiwii doesn't need anything more than 8 bit

It seems HK also have the v1.0 lite version for about $26, that's a good price.

Because the multiwii board doesn't have enough power to process the serial output of the gps. You need a i2c gps. What that does is it is a gps reciever with a atmel processor connected so it ouptuts a preprocessed signal, so it doesn't overload the main FC

Or you could just get this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...PS_Module.html

There is also this:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...DSM2_Port.html

Which seems more like a direct competitor to the Crius MultiWii SE, with integrated USB and a cheaper price. The one OP linked too has a much better Acc/GPS module
More like the Crius AIO board.

Does this V2 board use the same board type in Arduino as V1? Duemilanove ATmega 328

Is the setup instructions the same with this board as the V1?

Only difference is better sensors on this one?
