Scamming RCG members

If you are jealous of anixs giving away items why don't you do the same rather then starting threads ragging on him and starting a bogus ID giving away a bogus DX6I and getting members hopes up.

Surprising info...

Edit. The same person made those threads: the many stuffs free item thread (2 of them,) one asking what is wrong with someone who gives away things for free, one wanting to give his wife away and one giving away a fake item. Might be humorous to some, but none were my cup of tea and just distracted from the RC experience.

(not posting to the link picking on someone giving things away free )

This person should be permanently banned for this... So many great freebies have been given away in the last few weeks and this person goes in, knowingly violating the rules just to get some laughs? Who knows what took place via pm. Maybe they were jealous they didnt receive any of the nice freebies? I have a feeling they wont be around long when they are back from their "vacation"

Edit// the user in question is whatala if anyone reads this when the list is updated. whatala is the person creating fake accounts giving away fake items.

What makes you think its someone who is jealous ? Which btw has nothing to do with scamming (its more like trolling) as your thread title suggests.

I dont think anyone was trolling, normally the bitter people just cry about lost deals here anyways.

He's seems jealous to me from his posts and I never had any interest in the radio I just don't see whats cool about scamming members especially young and finicialy strapped ones that were probally hoping is was legit.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=trolling

1.Trolling The art of deliberately, cleverly, and secretly pissing people off, usually via the internet, using dialogue.

I guess for those not used to internet douchebaggery wouldnt recognize and use the more appropriate word.

I consider a scam a deceitfull means to an end, (ie money, information)

Trolling is just being a jerk in general (to amuse yourself and your internet buddies) which I thought was a more appropriate term for the OP to use for whoever did that DX6I giveaway.

You're correct IMHO.
That is trolling.
Probably with a bit of jealousy mixed in for added sour flavour.

Some people need their un-happiness to be happy I suppose.

Yep, Pach, that is a more appropriate word. I supported the other word because I happened to notice a few days ago that using the "t' word is somewhat of an issue on RCG and it can be considered a personal attack to call someone out or imply that. Oddly, when a user is banned/suspended, they are no longer protected from personal attacks during that period.

Why is it so important to keep starting threads giving Anixs a hard time and trashing him in the thank you Anixs thread?

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1837630

I am begging all of you to PM Jim T or Jim B and put an end to this.

Just wanted to say thanks to those who do decide to give stuff away. Really nice of you. I've not given anything away in awhile but maybe it is time I do the same. If someone wants to troll me for giving something away .. well no issue. I can take it and I'm sure the person who gets the give a way will still enjoy it all the same.

I don't understand posts that seem to be trolling either. I guess the best thing to do is just ignore the posts but I know that can be difficult at times. The more I think about it the more I realize that a troll type post does nothing to decrease the enjoyment that the person who gets a give-a-way receives so maybe the best thing to do is just ignore them. Now if the trolling post is supporting a true scammer .. well that is another story.
