Flew my Nano indoors at work last night, hovering in front of the Security Cam on the ceiling in a large half dark room. Didn't have time to review the vid yet.... Had it up real close in front of it, pivoting the Heli around for different views. Hope they didn't get my Tail Number!

Veteran's Day is tomorrow. Figured I go fly the P-40 some. It's a little breezy, but it handles it fine.

That looks Sweet, but where are the big Sharkteeth?

I like P-40's. Who makes that one again? What Batt, prop and Wingspan?

It's been over a year since I've flown anything. I've been getting the itch here lately. I charged some batteries this morning, and dusted off my trusty 51" slick. By the time I got out to the industrial park, it was pretty gusty. So, i'll try again tomorrow.

No shark teeth on George Welch's P-40b. He was one of the lucky few at Pearl that got into the air and fought the Japanese on Dec. 7.

It's the Hangar 9 .50 size. 55", 5s 5300 15x7 gives 12-15min flight times.

Rafe in the movie "Pearl Harbor" was based on George Welch.... well the flying and how they got to the small airfield and were brave enough to get some P-40s into the air.

It's an ARF

Got 4 more flights on the Nano tonight right after sunset in the front yard. Now able to fly some circuits side to side and left and right circles.

Got about 4 backflips in, working on tightening them down in radius. Had one within a 1 foot radius. Got to be quick on the Collective.

Clipped the tree twigs twice in wide turns, hit TH and dropped it no damage. Skipped the limerock twice, no damage. Just hit TH before a crash and all good.

Getting lots of side view hovers now and was nose in and doing slow and fast Piros, level and climbing. Great little machine if you get the Pitch toned down. Fun indoors when dark or too windy. Will be good during those winter storms.

Next trials will be to get it into Inverted Hovers and hold it...
