That new Brushless Motor in the pic you posted seems to have four wires? hum....is the forth wire a shadow from the paper?

Gang,

Don't forget the Fly-In at MOON PORT MODELERS Club in Titusville, Florida on SUNDAY 14th to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of Flight. Also, GRAVES R/C has become on of the list of Advertisers in the MOON PORT Newsletter.

Sad news, MOON PORT is losing the DUNN FLYING FIELD sometime after the 1st of the yeat as a result of a Weather Station in or near the field. MOON PORT has been there for a long time and those that frequent that field will miss it. However, for those that flew there a lot, MOON PORT administrators are already making arrangements to activate a backup field.

Otherwise, we still have the SOUTH field which is the one you guys have visited in the past next to I-95 and SR-50. As soon as you pass underneath I-95 along SR-50 you make your first RIGHT on WINDOVER RD between a TEXACO GAS STATION and a CIRCLE "K" ! You go down about 1/10th of a mile and it's the first gravel dirt driveway on your right.

Richard's GWS J3 Piper Cub back in the Air!

Gang,

Like to report that Richard's GWS J3 Piper Cub is back in the air and he was able to fly it with minimal trim! It flew just fantastic!
Meat Trays are the best!

Oh, yes I sneaked two flights on that big HOBBICO SUPER STAR EP and boy what fun! Great loops and snap rolls. Wonderful landings even in total darkness!

Moon Port Fun Fly

I hope these predictions improve before Sunday's Moon Port event. Data from Shuttle Landing Facility.

Yea, Sunday looks pretty bad & I have to do a little side job in the morning... so I was thinking of a few flights Sat afternoon till dark.
Does anyone show up late Sat afternoon at the HD field ???

So I guess Sunday I will see if I can get my Ultimate Bipe all done with the repairs. Made a new top wing (not done yet), because the old one was too "folded". I could have reinforced it with a little CF rod, but I just HATE to add any weight to a plane ! I wanted her just like before. I DID make the new interplane struts from 1/8" balsa and with that & the flying wires I plan to install, she SHOULD be pretty bullet proof, as long as I keep her away from that one really HARD edge of the sky ! (Chuck)

Watchin them winds,
Jim

Hard edge of the sky... too funny LOL.
Here's a little look at the different sizes of some motors.

Great evening of Flying!

Pete and his VERY FAST little plane showed up and cut through the skys at HOME DEPOT!

Richard flew his GWS J3 Piper Cub and his other models. Ed came and flew his B2 Bomber and Steve came with his new wing (combat wing) with the MEGA and it sure screams.

Rafeal came with his ProtiJet and wow!

I flew my HOBBICO Super Star EP three times for an average of 8 minutes! Made loops and putt putt around the field. Landings were great!

Earl, yes, let's not forget him! His PT-17 STEARMAN (Herr Engineering) was just fantastic.

The other ED came to fly his EXTRA and did very well.

Very nice night out for flying!

Greatings from Kitty Hawk guys.

Not much going on today. Kids day here. Michelle Branch performed on the stage today, and the Beach Boys are here tomarrow. Got LOTS of great shots of the planes here. I'll probably get them posted in the Open forum on Sunday. Looks like rain.

It sure is COLD up here though. Only 52 degrees as a high. I miss Florida already - NOT.

I'm going to try to get some pics of my Flyer at the monument and at Jockeys Ridge where they did their glider flights.

Later

Rob

Just noticed -

I'll be going over to Viera for the IRKS Electric fly. Lots more fun and we don't have to deal with gas. Just us electrons.
