Demo slots are open if any non-members have something unique to show.

There will be NO landing fees.

There will be hot dogs and hamburgers for a suggested donation.

Contests are focused on fun.

Parkzone Corsair up for grabs in the raffle!

Wish I could be there, but it's the same weekend as HHAEFI.

Same here Rich. Hunter and I hope to be at HHAEFI!

Should be an awesome day at STN MTN . They are working to pull off a great Warbird day of events.

HHAEFI... tempting. As for the warbird day it sounds ok but I prefer events that are more just open flying and not watching someone else fly.

SM hosts all sorts of fun flies, and they try to vary the experience. While some are more geared towards participation, this one is certainly more for the show. They have put a lot of effort into organizing this one and it certainly will be fun, but this is not your typical "If you have a warbird, go fly it" kind of day.

That said, they are very encouraging of non-member participation in the demonstrations. Got a cool warbird? Simply ask for one of the demo slots as they have reserved a couple for guests. Got a Trojan? Ask to participate in the Trojan demo team. Got a racer, go race! Want to be part of anything, all you have to do is ask and sign up.

Although I am extraordinarily doubtful that any visitors will arrive before much 10am and stay till past the conclusion at 4pm (if it ends on time), but they did try to manage a little window of open flying before 10am, during the noon hour, and after 4pm.

Zero problem with the format. It's probably good for getting people outside of RC to come. Just not for me is all since I've seen plenty of RC planes fly by now.
