Holy crap!!! that was awesome. There's something special about those big birds. Those poor people down in the village must've thought there was an alien invasion Incredible velocity. Those must be some exotic set ups with that
insane power. I like how it changes pitch in sound at times.

http://www.stratair.com/Produktdetail.aspx?ArtId=1243 And thats the electric fuselage, add you own wings from the Hurricane F3B glider version

I dunno if you can find a 3m ship that'll take that kind of abuse for that price sorry LexusFPV. Thats still very much in the 2m F5B $ airframe only zone. Hence how cheap the Eagle 5 is

True, I'm pretty sure I will enjoy my Eagle. At least for a while. It's a good size as well.

That was a very impressive video. Excellent flying skills especially with all the trees around.

I fly mostly "FPV"....that fuse/wing looks sooo efficient.

I would do something crazy to it and die hard 'hotliner' fans may hate me, but here is what I would do (purpose for me).

Since its soo sleek, I would power it to be 'efficient'- slow and long flight times....
(yup, I'm crazy!) :-)

Im right there with you. Im planning on FPV'ing the Eagle, just to experience the insane vertical climb straight to the clouds!

What slow and efficient motor/prop (power) setup would you use with this Eagle?
I like the big warmglider configurations (but we FPV like it to be 'efficient'-long flight times and slow.....we already know we can overpower it because the frame can take it and frame is sleeeeK)....

When will it sell for $489 as it says in this review rather than the $699 you have it listed for? FALSE ADVERTISEMENT BY OVER $200!

I believe it was addressed earlier in the thread, but at the time of the Review it was on sale for $489. Keep your eye on it, likely it will go on sale again.

I could be wrong but I think these fast hotliners with no rudder control don't thermal very well. You can slow it down and even get the kick here and there but in order to stay in thermal, you need smaller radius turns. Aileron turn is not that effective. I'd say your best bet would be a vtail.
I know what you mean, my Eagle had MVVS Sport, so not exactly super fast but very enjoyable to fly. To be honest I didn't even think about thermaling these things are most thrilling in a powerless dives followed by tight turns.
I didn't totally give it away after that crash landing. I picked up the pieces and put it out of my sight for 2 weeks. Then realised that I could actually fix it. So I did. She'll be in the air again.

Reverse aileron differential for a non rudder thermal turn.
Search for rudderless DLGs in the Hand Launch Forum.
