LOL. Yeah, I guess you really would need a magic eraser for that. I just assumed it was a smaller scratch. Sorry to see that much damage.

BTW: what I typed obviously didn't get through in the way I intended. I don't think I'm better then anyone here in anyway. It was intended more of a "it's like freakin' magic, how cool is that!" kinda statement. I got really excited first time I tried it and it worked. I won't take offense to what you typed because you were just being defensive to what seemed to be condescending answer.

It has more power and is lighter so I would say so.

Not until Tuesday or Wednesday.....but I got a nice new tx to set all my rc stuff up to in the mean time. It will take me a while to learn all its functionality anyways.

And yes I will be converting one to brushless soon too

I just priced it out at $45 for motor and controller without looking hard.

On the mSRX, the brushless made it much better. How it should have came from the factory in terms of power IMHO.

But with on less servo, there was more room for the brushless mount and motor.

Properly done, the brushless conversion should be at or even lighter than the stock motor weight.

It doesnt need a converter if you flash the esc..Dylan can do this for you. So you need an esc, motor and a solder iron.

Yes the dx18 It never gets old looking at it...I thought it was hilarious the first model was the nano though

You'll likely need to fabricate a mount. Possibly the most difficult part of the puzzle at the moment.

Next, we need to figure out what's the best solder point to solder to and retain full linear throttle.

No converter board needed if you flash the ESC with BLHeli.

I heard it's not necessary to reload, but you can turn it off later. But I don't have youtube account to verify.

Nowadays I fly all my helis with a DX6i. No need for a fancy radio, but I am tempted from time to time.

So I'm also considering DX 18,,,, aside from how cool it looks and the extra channels,, what's better about it compared to DX 8???

that's what I thought too with my dx6 then with my dx7 and dx6I and then with my x9303, x9503 and dx8.

Imho The feel of the sticks alone between the dx6i and above is worth it. Then there is all the other features per radio upgrade. I use to think my x9503 felt the best but it isn't comparable to the dx18. I am also building a few large projects this winter that I need more than the channels my dx8 had. Really though I fly too much to be missing features I can use or to miss out on more comfort
