[LOST] My Dynam Hawk Sky Flew Away from Me

I was flying my hawk sky today in about 10Km/h wind condtions. Took off into the wind and elevated to 100 feet. Banked it to the left and let the wind do its stuff. When it was about 200 m away i started to turn but it got caught in a gust of wind and it got further away. At this distance I lost orientation - I though I was bringing it in towards me but it kept getting further and further away. I dont know if anyone has been through this before. The final moments were excruciating. I tried to do some inverted loops so I can figure out where it is heading but even this did not help. This has happened to me on the SIM as well. At certain distances I completely lose the sense of which direction the plane is (I always fly on the sim without using chase camera and keeping the ground in view which is pretty similar to actual flying). I am sure experts can offer a lot of advice and I look forward to hearing from you. I had atleast 20 flights with this one so this plane was not new to me.

One more mistake I made is I did not keep the plane upwind at all times.

WIND ->

I was doing this:
ME <=> PLANE

But should have been
PLANE <=> ME

It might have landed in your neighborhood. I was flying in one of the nearby parks in North Parra!!1 Wind was from SSW at that time.

I think it went out of range.

Bad luck and I hope you find it.

I havenít been flying for that long but what I do when I get confused and not sure which way the plane is going is to swing the aileronís left and right,

If the plane responds to the actual input i.e. turns right with right aileron I know itís going the wrong way and I complete a turn and then wait for it to get bigger.

I lost a white plane against cloud today. Deployed spoilerons and cought a brief flash of blue before it went in. It was a horrible feeling not knowing and I hope you get it back.

My only damage was to the fuse arround the wing saddle and not to hard to fix, but on a new model

no not found. Once it is at that angle in the horizon it is hard to tell which way it is going and the wind is constantly taking it away from you. i need to practice this situation on the sims

hope you find it. I would suggest you keep the plane a bit closer, 200m is a fair distance. Try doing circuits upwind and downwind of you to keep the plane close. I always try to fly with the wind coming over my left or righ shoulder and do circuits into the wind, downwind and then return back to start. Flying circuits is the best way to learn.
