Welders glue. You can get 2 tubes from lowes for $5, or get 1 tube from twisted. You only need 1 tube for the build. And get the 32" Power combo. The $63 dollar one.

Yup. But I use sky lipo 2S 500's. They are $2.65 each! Lol. Just order one batt from twisted and keep an eye on the sky lipo's. Idk if they are in stock right now. It appears the power combo went up $2 but the shipping went down $4 so its cheaper than before.

Well if you are good at scratch building, then go for it!!! That would probably knock some sense into Horizon Hobby to start producing some...I mean they discontinued their one and only airliner the month before i was going to buy one. I was extremely mad.

Aww that sucks. Most of my attempts at balsa have failed, but I have never used foam. Its a loooottt easier.

Yeah foam is a lot easier. Not to mention repairing it is a lot easier as well. I just got an idea...that airliner they discontinued, i could probably build it out of spare parts...buy the spare parts for the plane, electronics from Hobbyking, and i got myself an Airliner! That will come after the crack yak though.

That would be really, really expensive. Often a wing set of an eflite plane is almost the price of the ARF . It would cost like 3X the ARF.........

Thats what i thought too....Hmm let me see...so the airliner was $175 ARF. Spare parts needed to complete:

Wing Assembly: $50

Fuselage: $55

Vertical Stabilizer: $7

Main Gear Assembly: $19

Nose Wheel: $9

Engine Nacelles: $16

Decal Sheet: $6

Don't need the ducted fan unit since im using some from hobbyking.

Total for airframe parts comes out to $162. Thats close enough to the ARF price! Cool!!!! Then I would just buy the AR400 receiver and electronics from Hobbyking. Guess its not expensive because its a foamie?
